ipo of space x.  Remember how joyful we all were on June 12?  You should.  It was only 6 weeks ago.  SpqceX  went public ipo at $135.  Hit the open market at $150.  Went to $175 day 1.  Then $200.  Think it even hit $225 or $230.

grocery stick was so excited to have bought it.  Couldn’t wait to tell us.  He and Elon were man crushing each other.  Bromance to the extreme. He had his money at a “real” brokerage that got him in on it.

I said I liked the stock but would wait till it came down and it would. These overhyped IPOs always do. But hey.  Who listens to me.  I said it would happen sometime in the first year.

6 weeks later. Here we are.  7/24 and space x is at $113 as I write.  Ouch. Still not buying.  Not sure what’s keeping me.  Maybe enjoying watching the carnage.  I do have popcorn from the movie wife and I went to Monday. Munch munch.

didn’t think we would see the thing fall 50% in 4-5 weeks.  Didn’t think it would drop 30% from first trade and 20% from ipo but here we are.   Wonder what I’ll do now.  I have a few hundred G’s on the sideline looking for a bargain but really looking at blackstone. Nvidia Inm and Microsoft.

meanwhile today is option expiration day and Carvana bidu and lrcx calls expire   So does a nividia put.  Falling markets definitely hurt value but at least I’ll be $77k better off in the cash department.

for now I’m just watching the show.  Just remember.  If an angry gay old man from an opportunity zone town offers you investment advice.  Shoot any advice.  On anything?  Just do the opposite and you’ll be fine.  The next time he’s right about anything will be his first.
