The Hate JJ McCarthy is Getting is Unwarranted

Kid can play. He’s gonna work out if he can stay healthy.
He can move. He can throw in pocket. He can throw on run.
Hes an elite athlete. He looks accurate.

the hate he gets is because he’s white. He’s “terrible” only applies to white dudes. When tan it’s the coaching it’s the talent around him it’s everything but the kid.

Bust Sam Darnold is a case study in how nfl media works. He never sucked. His ecosystem did. But he got 110% of the blame. Kind of like JJ now.

Another example. Caleb’s failings last year were eberflus’s fault even tho Caleb was about 50% completion with good WRers TEs and Running backs. And a good defense. Truth  matter

I never got the whole hype behind this kid in a the first place.

I don’t care about the whole meditating thing. Whatever. Kids are kids.

Always thought he was a system guy that does everything well. Camped and coached up. That’s it. He’s not a put the team on his shoulders kind of guy or a really all that great at anything.

The hate comes from fans that had a real pro bowl guy in first with Cousins and then with Sam.

Sam can make throws and see windows others just can’t. It’s called Talent. The only reason Sanka hates him was because he went pro early and he sees this as some kind of treason. But then again I can’t name a player he has ever liked. Always loves the coaches. Hates the players. I am sticking with some SC player stretched out his girlfriend in college, put a smile on her face and dumped him. who knows. sc

He’s good at handing the ball off.  He’s nothing without Connor Stalions.

In college he was a game manager who didn’t make mistakes.  The Vikings were a very complete team on both sides of the ball who thought all they needed was a guy to manage the team on an affordable rookie contract and do what he did at Michigan.

 

Looks like it didn’t work out that way.  I didn’t see any of their games.  But Caleb has done better than Sam early in his career because he’s avoided taking horrible shots.  Seeing ghosts.  And kept turnovers to a minimum.  I wish I could make it more complicated, but if I did I’d lose you and Grocery stick.  Writing it in crayon and very slowly is the best way for you two to hear it.  You both have a rare ability to speak with confidence without  disturbing the facts

You don’t draft a guy #10 to hand off to a running back whose name you don’t know. Meaning their offense wasnt

designed around someone named Adrian Peterson, Eric Dickerson, Sweetness or Barry Sanders.

I don’t think so.   Was he a 10?   Eh.  Maybe as he gets older he will win games.

Minnesota was good enough to do better than they did.  He apparently failed.

but I get the strategy. Denver is employing it right now. You get a young quarterback playing on an affordable contract making what? 4 million a year? So you can spend that money on other players to keep your overall roster strong. Even when Sam signed his deals, he was not that highly regarded and yet he was making 20 or 30 million a year. And the top quarterbacks are making 40 or 50 million a year that that’s just bananas

so try to use a young cheap guy build out the rest of your roster  and try to win while you can.

windows are short in the NFL. I mean look at the Detroit Lions. They sucked for years and then they had a couple of years where you just felt like they were on the edge of the Super Bowl and now it appears they are slipping again

Bo Nix was after all of them. I don’t know what number.

JJ McCarthy had good talent and serious depth while at Michigan. He never looked like more than just a game manager to me.

Make NFL money, get NFL hate. It is part of the deal. Don’t like it? Do something else.

Do you think 2018 sam or 2019 sam turns the beats around and takes them to the 2 seed and 2nd round of playoffs ?     Of course you don’t.

100% 2018-2019 Sam could do or exceed what Caleb has done in Chicago these last two years. Absolutely sure of it. But I understand talent. You don’t

You understand scre3aming at the top of your lungs for 9 years and when Sam has a good one thinking you’re vindicated.

 

Caleb has stepped right into the league.

 

What we have seen is clear.  Sam can join an already very good team and not screw it up.  Which is what you ask mid round guys to do.

 

Caleb has been a franchise savior, just what he was drafted for,  and taken the worst team in the NFL to the 2nd round of the playoffs in his second year.  I am happy for both of them.

 

Keep spinning.  At this point when you post about Sam you should just include my name in the subject line since I am the only chance of you getting any replies.
