KeymasterHoly crap 5 catches. 160 yards. Two td. All in the first quarter. Really good hands. I think Butkus compares him to lemon. That’s fair.
on defense simonte katoanga looks to me like a big kid who is good at being bigger than everyone else. I’m not sold on him at all.
but Mosley? Dude makes you a believer in about 5 minutes. Dang

KeymasterCarson Palmer is a really boring interview. But when he was asked what he had to say about Trent Mosley. He said “he’s the best player in the country”.
Rod Sherman who coaches Orange Lutheran and has coached against 4 WR rated at the top of the national rankings. Including 2 at Mayer dei. Says Mosley is the best.
the announcer said if the star system had 6 stars he’d give him 7. High praise.
was Mosley headed to Texas before flipping to UsC? Or was he a ND lean?

KeymasterBut wait. There’s more. With 8 minutes left in the 3rd q. Yes. This is a championship game and they’ve played 2.5 quarters.
mosley takes an inside screen and goes 91 yards for the TD. I believe this is his 4th td. 10 catches and 295 yards. He has an 80 yard td and a 91 yard td. I mean even without those he has 8 catches for 125 yards.
wow. SM keeps finding ways to get him the ball.
35-7. Centennial is done

Keymaster42-7. Running clock to get this over with. Though they seem to stop it for commercials. So I’m not exactly sure what that means

KeymasterOk btw Jae crowder was hurt. Broke his foot I think. So no comments on him
USC needs a guy to come in and contribute as a frosh next year. Maybe hoobie. Maybe Mosley. But I like what I saw from Trent tonight.
SM may be the next destination for all the mercenary born again Catholics who happen to run 4.4 40s. With MD catastrophic collapse this year I wonder if Lara will resign or be fired. I wonder if all the fair weather front runners at MD will bail and disperse to other programs. Orange Lutheran can play. They’re for real. Bosco? For sure. Can definitely attract top talent. Centennial? Lot of options for kids out there. SM showed that teamwork and humility wins.
really interested to see if Mosley or Easter can see the field next fall. They need a much deeper wr core than they showed this year. You really want 4-6 guys who can wear out your opponent. USC has had 2-3 depending on lanes injury.

ParticipantWhoa, SMC crushed Centennial 42-7. I’m shocked, I thought it was gonna be a shootout, something like 38-35 with SMC winning a close game. I think last week game vs Mater Dei took all the energy out of Cent. Hard playing back to back tuff hard games.
Wow, what a night Trent Mosley had vs Centennial; and Cent has very good DB’s and secondary, 10 rec, 300 yds, 4 TD’s Yeah, been saying this for 2 years about how good Trent Mosley is. When I saw him as a Soph, playing along with his brother Emmett who was the star Wr at SMC HS, I thought Trent was better than Emmett. Then seeing him as a Jr, man I was completely sold and felt Trent was one of the best Wr in the nation. Heck, he makes my 5 star ratings.
Trent reminded me of Makai Lemon, both fast with 10.7 100 m and great after the catch. They run like RB’s after the catch. Yeah, Trent favored ND and Texas at his early recruitment. But, with GB Bowden and his R staff, we snagged this sensational Wr, Trent Mosley. Thank you God.
Trent was out for most of the 2025 season for SMC due a foot/leg injury. He missed like 7 games. While he was out his younger brother, Grant took over. Grant is a good one too. All, I know we have to land Grant when he becomes a Sr at SMC.
USC recruited Emmett, but was way behind ND and Stanford. He ended up choosing Stanford, but only after one season, transferred to Texas and C.Sark. But, he was out with a leg injury since the beginning of the season, missing the 1st 5 games. Since coming back, he has done well and QB Manning’s main target.
Can’t wait to seeTrent do his thing at USC. He will play as a Fr next year 2026 season. Our Wr room next year, 2026 is gonna be the top 3 in nation, young but very good FB players. Luc Weaver is gonna be Drake London II. Mark Bowman is gonna be a killa TE in C.LR passing game… Cheers
PS. Heck, last year Shane Rosenthal, Newbury Park HS was the best Wr in Calif. Rosenthal was hardly recruited, but UCLA picked him up. I was screaming for C.LR get off his arse and get him, but nada offer. Guaranty if GM Bowden was here, he would landed Rosenthal.

ParticipantWhat a picture. As a true Pisces the ocean calls me. I can spend hours (and often do) admiring the ocean. I get that sunsets happen every day but a sunset like that is pretty cool.
Yes, Mosley is really good. Mosley, Boobie, Weaver, Tron.. what a group.

KeymasterI run at the ocean because paying all this money to be near it. If I don’t run there I never go. So it’s sort of an obligation. It’s ok. It’s nice. Weather is better in the winter than my other house.
my wife likes all that one with the ocean water crap that you mentioned then just when we get settled and I think she’s happy she announces she’s cold and we go home. I shrug like what just happened

KeymasterI thought he ran great routes. Felt his hands were very good and won a couple 50 50 battles. I didn’t see breakaway speed. I did see excellent decisions on where to run. Lot of guys like to run fast and then figure out where they’re going. Those are the track athletes playing football. I feel like Zechariah branch is like that. Mosley makes really good decisions when he has the ball. He could be a rb with his vision. 30 years ago he probably would be

Dang, this is the 4th time an original post got deleted after I edited it. Now, I’m gonna try remember what I said and link up his HL clips again. Since this new board started, I’ve had 4 OP disappear, vanished after making an edit. Obviously there’s a bug dat’s causing this weird thing. Bruddah Balls said it has happened to him too, many times…
Trent Mosley, SMC HS vs Centennial Corona, Finals for SS CIF D-1.
Read and see how good the kid is. Greg Biggins da HS FB expert said and wrote dat Trent has average speed. Dang, Biggins is such a tool. Trent runs a 10.7 100 m and dat’s very fast, Not average speed. Average speed = 11.3 to 11.8 100 m times. Trent Mosley is very fast.
My 100 m speed ratings: 10.0 to 10.3 elite speed. 10.4 to 10.8 very fast. 10.9 to 11.2 fast. 11.3 to 11.8 average.

ParticipantYep Java there has to be a computer server bug. This weird thing has happened 4 times for me. And, everytime it’s when I do an edit and click the summit button. Then, I look for the post and it’s gone/disappeared. Very strange and annoying as heck.
Oh, maybe talk to theSteve, I think his contact info page does not work. I’ve used it 3 times and did not get a response from him via email. Another clue is there are so many regulars that are still missing in action (MIA). I’m sure they have used theSteve contact info without him responding. How can he, if it’s not getting or seeing their emails.
How my account got fixed; I saw one of his emails saying my registration is pending, but after 3 weeks (could not log in), I thought something is weird. So, I click the reply button of his email and bingo I could write my problems. After 3 days, theSteve fixed my account and I was able to log in again. I know this would be a big pain in da arse. A suggestion is for theSteve or You email all the guys who are MIA and tell them to hit the reply button dat way theSteve is able to help all da Bruddah’s.
I miss all the other board members who are missing… Cheers

ParticipantShoot, Java and Ballss, I envy both of you living in our S. Calif coast. You guys have the most perfect weather and get to see amazing Sunsets daily. When my wife get to the visit our daughter who lives in Brentwood, we most of the time go the beach to see sunsets. Our sunsets are beautiful. One time, I saw on a clear day, no clouds or haze, a sunset that had the biggest Sun, most amazing sheet ever.
Here are other amazing sunsets too. -

KeymasterI stop taking pics of them after awhile. They tend to start to all look alike. We only have like 5-6 beaches in Dana point and many of them run Into each other. One is kinda private and I’m not sure how to get to it. Called 3 arches bay. Supposed to be super duper.
we also have monarch beach which is the same beach as salt creek under the ritz just divided by a stream much of the year. I wear shoes when I run so I don’t cross the stream. Shallow but wide. Hate soggy tennis shoes. Next to salt creek under where that photo was taken is strands. Basically another same beach. Just broken up this time by a lifeguard tower and a point of rocks. But you can still jog non stop from monarch beach through salt creek to strands if you want. Strands is on the other side of the ritz and ends at Dana point. Like the actual rock. Got a face in it.
salt creek and strands have their own parking lots. Minarch not so much and I’ve never been to 3 arches bay. Looks like there’s a big neighborhood above it and it’s all gated I think the law is that they’re supposed to be beach access. But there’s no place to park on PCH even if there was an access gate. So I think that beach ends up being basically private I sure would like to see it
anyway, beyond strands around the rocks and pirates caves that are part of the actual Dana point itself. There’s a beach called headlands. Really small. Used to be part of the whole killer Dana thing before they built the harbor and now the waves crashed into it at high tide and the beach disappears and in low tide, there’s about 50 to 100 yards of sand that you can walk past the Ocean center down the stairs to see And most people sit up on the rocks as the waves crash into them. The rocks are a wave break, forming the harbor
within the Harbour you have baby Beach, which is basically like a sand swimming pool for a little kids and people launching kayaks. From there, you can hop in your kayak or on your paddleboard and go out into the harbor among all the yachts and sea lions
further down, you have Doheny Beach named after the same family who gave money for the original USC library in the center of campus where I graduated and George Bush spoke on the stage Doheney is one of the beaches cited in the beach, boys song, surfing USA when they talk about going down Doheny Way. It’s still a good beach for beginning, surfers, volleyball players families hanging out. You can rent bikes and buy a hotdog there I would call it in middle class beach, even though the parking there is the most expensive in town
then, you’ve got Capistrano Beach, which like Monarch Beach used to be its own separate little area or town that got incorporated into Dana point when the whole area became a city in 1988 Capistrano beach is actually where Sam Darnold and Todd Marinovich from and where Matt Leinart either lives or lived at one point. oh and Klay Thompson, the basketball player. Speaking of famous people, Josh Allen, the quarterback lives at the other end of town in the development above salt Creek Beach or Monarch Beach
anyway, Capistrano Beach is basically the same as San Clemente. no rocks no cliffs no hills no bike rentals no hotdog stands no majestic views just a parking lot you climb over the rocks and then you’ve got a strip of maybe 30 or 40 yards of sand than the water and this goes for Miles and at some point become San Clemente. Can’t really tell the difference and that keeps going all the way to San Clemente pier it’s a boring beach, but if you just want to sit on the sand and stare out at open water, it kind of faces south so on a good day, you can see San Clemente island out there, but you’re facing the wrong direction for a sunset
theyre all ok. I can’t complain. If you like beaches they’re close and they’re your thing. When people borrow my house, I have to remind them that a good percentage of the time you wake up in the morning like today and it’s cloudy and foggy. It’s easy to give up on the day and then all of a sudden at noon it all burns off and it’s incredible. It’s glorious then you think it’s going to be perfect and you go do your errand list and by sunset the clouds of all rolled back in again there is no sunset and it looks crappy
so I always tell people who are borrowing my house chase the sun. If it’s a nice day, go out and enjoy it and do your task list or your chores while it’s cloudy and ugly either at the beginning or end of the day. And if you have a nice sunset, go see it because it’s not a guarantee every night
as funny as it may sound I kind of prefer the crappy days at least when I’m running because when I go and it’s a little too cold and maybe it’s Misty in the air and it’s gray and ugly. No one is at the beach. And when I run, I’ve got the whole thing to myself. And when you’re in Southern California California, that’s pretty nice to have a half mile of beach with only one or two other people on it
