A great player and Trojan. Truly. And a very good pro.

A top 10 Trojan of all time for me

Congrats to a great Trojan.  Robert Woods is one of my all time Trojan favorites.  Dat was very nice of LA Rams to honor his retirement as a Ram, his hometown.  13 years is a long NFL career.  Woods was very fast, 10.55 100 m, 21.0 200 m, and 46.1 400 m…  Cheers

      See his productive stats.  https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/15880/robert-woods

I remember when he was the USC “must get” out of high school. Great player.

Dang the Serra-Gardena HS teams, 2008-10 were one of the top teams in SS CIF, D-3.  Dat team took the CIF State title, 2009, running over the NS CIF team.  Dat team scored 50+ pts avg per game, unreal O.  Imagine Wr’s:  Robert Woods, 10.6, George Farmer, 10.2, Paul Richardson, 10.6, and part time Marquise Lee 10.5 100 m boys.  Now dat group has to be the very best HS Wr group in CIF history;  just insane speed and skill sets.  Shoot, Lee only played limited passing plays on 4 Wr sets.  He mainly played S on D.

Too bad for USC, Paul Richardson begged C. Kiffin for an offer, but there was no room.  C. Kiffin landed Kyle Pratter, 5*, Illinois, and Brice Butler, 4*, Georgia.  Dang, Richardson went to UCLA, but got dismiss his Fr year for a burglary incident (stupid).  Transferred to Colorado and tore it up there.  I can only imagine if Richardson was a Trojan along with all the top Wr’s.

Shoot, QB Matt Barkley and C. Kiffin would have had a tuff time picking the go to Wr…  Cheers

Good post. What a team at Gardena Serra. Lee was really good. Farmer just didn’t make it at USC.

I ran into Kyle Prater in Chicago 2 years ago.We chatted for a while. Life has really humbled him( his words). Good dude.

Bruddah remember you telling us dat you met and talked to him in Chicago.  Yeah, K. Pratter time at USC was short lived.  He got hurt as a Fr and then transferred the next year to Northwestern.  I think he had only an average career at NW?  Shoot, in hindsight it would have been good if C. Kiffin gave Paul Richardson a ride.

Woods had his best years as a Ram so I’m glad he’s retiring as a Ram.
