OC Stein is a loss, but Lanning is a master at hiring OCs. And DC Tupoi is a loss from a recruiting standpoint, not so much from an Xs and Os standpoint (co-DC Hampton and Lanning called the defensive plays).
Just like Kenny Dillingham leaving Oregon for his alma mater, so is Tupoi, and Stein is going to his fav school (family is a big UK family, dad went there, Stein tried to get a PWO position at UK, but ended up as a PWO at Louisville instead).
Oregon is 0-5 vs dream schools….including Taggart going to FSU and Cristobal going to Miami. Crossing fingers Lanning doesn’t have a secret desire to return to William Jewell College in Missouri!! lol
Right about now TEE should be popping up saying how Lanning sucks for not being able to keep coordinators at Oregon. Where is TEE??? I miss that guy!!!
Will be interesting to see who Lanning nabs for OC or if he promotes from within? Likely our new DC will simply be a promotion of Hampton to full-time DC at Oregon, if not he likely will be poached by another school as a DC.
