Little tid bit about Lynn’s Departure

And some other thoughts from an incurable and unrepentant rah rah. None of you want to win more than me. I’d piss on a spark plug if I thought that would get us a win.

Sometime in November a recruits parent asked Lynn why the defense was not developing. His answer was “ because of dumb players”. That statement got around the locker room and to players parents. Riley and Bowden talked to Lynn about it. That’s one way to ruin Coach-Player relationships and apparently it did. After watching last  nights game, I can’t say Lynn was too far off.

Another close game we should have won but didn’t. Emblematic of the Riley era. Was it Pete or Kiff  had “FINISH” as the mantra? Riley’s teams  just can’t FINISH.

USC was missing, what 10 starters. I had to refer to the roster to find out who some of those guys were. Saw some good stuff from 54 Tuitele. Turning the page towards 2026, we will have a new DC, Riley will roam the Coliseum sidelines and a big recruiting class is coming in.

Bruddah if true, wondering why he was not fired on the spot by AD Cohen!  I knew something was FU between him and players, you could see how they played.  I could see it and his body language during interviews showed he did not care or wanted USC succeed.  Now dat you told us, he said dat sheet, glad he’s gone.  I’m sure players and parents feel da same way.  But, the LB and DB coaches must be shown the door as well.  Both AC’s are as bad as they come and does not deserve to coaching at USC.

I think AD Cohen and GM Bowden will find a top DC…  Cheers

Who knows when and how that happened. Could be strategic PR to slam the guy for leaving the week of the ball game. Not a great luck for the program or CLR. You feel me? That being said that’s just something Coach can’t say to a parent. Kind of like a wife asking if you think an another wife is hot. Just bite your tongue and lie.

I’m not so sure about that DS actually makes a good point.

Penn St in the past 4 years, has won a Rose Bowl finishing ranked #7, appeared in the CFP winning the first 2 games advancing to the Semi- final racking up 13 wins and a top 5 ranking. Multiple 11 win seasons. Not an upgrade?
