ParticipantFlashback to the third quarter, Maiava throws the terrible interception to continue a bad playing night. Cameras switch over to Riley and Maiava on the sideline. Is Riley so angry at the bonehead play that he is yelling and screaming in full purple face mode? Nope. He is calmly talking to Maiava and explaining something to him. At that point in the game Riley HAS to know he is in the pressure cooker. He HAS to be feeling everything crumbling around him. He has to be feeling like he has seen this movie before and he knows the ending. The ship sinks and Jack freezes to death. Instead of going all purple he keeps his wits about him and COACHES, coaxes and lifts his QB. I like that leadership style. Remain calm in the face of chaos. It’s what leaders do.

KeymasterIf I recall was that when they were down 14-6 and they threw a pick?
wasn’t that in their own end ? How did they not allow Neb to score there?

KeymasterFound my own answer. The next play they broke Dylan’s leg. Then got stopped at midfield on 4th down. Still muddling. Then Nebraska missed a fg. So Neb had two chances to put usc away. Then they toook over. Scored and tied in two point pat. Neb kicked a fg which I missed. World Series. And then obviously usc scored once more to win
