Everyone has something in their life that they regret.  Some guys in football get shut down by certain teams.  Or certain referees.  Kershaw has unreal stuff during what, 18 seasons?  And to be fair he has had a few good post seasons.  He was the ace in 2020 and won 2 of the 4 world series games.  So yay for that.  But there’s something about that post season that more often than not just gets him.

I wonder who is worse, postseason Kershaw or Yu Darvish?

It’s mind-boggling how a guy so dominant his entire career in the regular season, is not even close to the same results in the post-season.

Lost season is a small sample size.  Some guys are legends for their performance in 1-2 series.  It happens.  Play long enough and you have tons of amazing and embarrassing memories.

Trout in his prime had one lousy series against Kansas City in 2014 where had one hit, and he didn’t get another chance. CK was headed that way early, but he did have a couple of good ones. He is def the best pitcher of this generation and it’s a shame that his overall post season has been disappointing. Overall. Doesn’t take away from a hall of fame career and status as one of the all-time greats. Good for those moments that Java mentioned though, not to mention some titles to his resume even if he wasn’t the ace per se. He will always have 20 and 24. I still say an old school manager like Tommy Lasorda would have had several championships with some of those teams, maybe four or five? But I leave that to the baseball experts on this board. He reminds me a bit of Bobby Cox in that regard. Of course, if they win three titles that’s way more in less time than Cox, but all that talent seems like maybe they could have had more. I dunno. Maybe I’m being too harsh. Winning a title isn’t easy.
