And no, James Madison is not a playoff team. They’re a group of five team. They are barely division one. And based on this and coaching at Holy Cross and sisters of the immaculate conception, their coach got the UCLA job. And while I would think that, Dolly, Madison and their Twinkiesmight be better than the Bruins, this should give UCLA fans a nice look at how close they are to beating Oregon.

I actually was in the business and wondered if anyone would catch that.  At some point they merged but you’re right.  Twinkies were always a hostess product.

Well the mighty dukes of James Madison did beat Fat Boy Hugs Helton this year,  and we all know how well coached directional Georgia is.

Generally, they all sucked. I did tune in to the OU/Bama game in the 2nd half when OU was down 17-24. I didn’t know until later in the game when they mentioned Bama was down 0-17. Don’t care for either team but just wanted Bama to lose.

Glanced at the Tulane/Ol’ Miss game when it was 41-10 or something like that. That was it. Glanced the UO/JMU when it was 24-3 or something like that in the second quarter. That was it. Actually watched the 3rd quarter of the Miami/TAM (0-0 at the half?). Neither one looked good. Got bored. Did something else.

Oh well…

The only game dat was very good in the 1st Rd was Bama vs OU.  The others were OK to watch.  But, my gripe was dat James Madison and Tulane should not have made the CFP and the results proved it.  These lower teams just can not match up with the Power 4 (SEC, B1G, ACC, Big 12, Independence) conference teams  It should have been Notre Dame vs Oregon and Vandy vs Ole Miss, now dat would have been way better match up’s.

The current CFP format sucks in the last two selections and should go by pure rankings, #1 to #12.

I have an idea.  A 2nd FB tournament should be created for the rankings #13 to #25, like Basketball NIT tournament.  Call it the NIFP (National Invitational Football Playoffs)…  Cheers

PS.  Come on now, a C.LR lead USC FB team should make this 2nd tier FB tournament (NIFP) easily, lol…
