You guys dis player is something else.  He is an AA LB, man he is an animal.  I’ve seen Texas Tech 2 times last year.  1st time the TV annoucers gave lots of props, I did not know anything about him.  In dat game, he was impressive and I said what a FB player.  The next time he had a great game again.   So this year I wanted to see him again and he played even better.  Love how he plays FB, old school, very tuff Hombre.

He played for Rider HS, Wichita Falls, Tx which is power in Class 5A, D-2.  He was a top HS athlete, playing 4 sports.  All League QB, career passing yds 7,100 yds in 3 years as varsity, 68 TD, rushing for 1,250 yds, 25 TD’s.  He was a 4* to 3* athlete in the R services.  Many schools offered him, but he committed to Virginia.  But, after one year, transferred to Texas Tech.

He is a big reason Texas Tech is 10-1 and #6 ranked (they will be #5, with Bama losing).  You guys must watch him play…  Cheers

PS.  Wish one of our young LB’s turn into a Jacob Rodriquez.  Dat would be a Big Shaka.

i may be wrong but I would think that it would be pretty easy to look good against that schedule

Bruddah Java, No this kid, Jacob Rodriguez is an outstanding LB and FB player.  I think he is Top 6 LB in country and AA.  When U get a chance watch him and Texas Tech in a live game.

U ? Texas Tech schedule, have U seen them play this year?   I’ve seen them play 2 times last year and twice this year; hell they are a really good FB team.  Shoot, TT make my Top 7 team in nation.   I can say this much, I believe they could beat Ohio St, Indiana, UGA, Oregon, Texas AM, Ole Miss.  I’m impressed with this 2025 Texas Tech FB team.

Texas Tech team stats.  They have top 10 rankings in key team stats.

        Total Offense, #8, 482 ypg

        Scoring, #4, 42.6 pt pg

        Total Defense, #8, 266 ypg

        D Scoring, #3, 12.27 pt pg

Their stats do not matter at all.  Look at what USC did versus Misery State and Georgia Southern.  Who cares.

Texas tech if they make the playoff will get dog walked right out of the building.

        # 5 Texas Tech 10-1, beat 3 Top 25 teams, pretty good whooping.  TT is a really good FB team; they could beat the Top 8 on any Saturday.

        # 11 BYU 9-1, 29-7,  # 14 Utah 8-2, 34-10,  # 24 Houston 8-2, 35-11
