      Iowa won the coin flip and chose to go on offense and lost the game.  Riley should learn from that IMO.

      It certainly started well for them. They won the first half

      They really defied tendency in that first drive or two. I’m sure they wanted to get at it before they chickened out or the game dictated otherwise

        Iowa had a good game plan opening with a passing attack, but they could have done so by deferring and then using their passing plan on their first offensive possession.  By not deferring, Iowa starts the second half with their D on the field for one more series possible in the second half than their opponents.  Iowa’s D was worn down in the second half and the SC run game improved.

        I think of you told Iowa they’d have a 14-0 lead on the road against UsC and it was their offense that did it.  And up 21-7 at half.  They’d say we won.  USC is puke day they won

         

        so I certainly think the whole start of the game favored them.  I’d sure like to See USC get off to better starts
