ParticipantI’m a bit confused on this one.
I get the mentality. I don’t get the need to talk about it?spencer Rattler is a real person and former teammate who is still in the league and also has hopes and dreams.
I 80/20 hate this. It’s like the black mamba mentality but also personal. Strange.

ParticipantI am in the minority but I’m actually more convinced CW will not be a star in the NFL. I was 60/40 when he came out. Now I’m 75/25. And yes his game ending INT with a massively clean pocket and only needing a FG to win should be talked about as much as the endzone Hail Mary. Especially by him.
Happy to be wrong. Don’t think I am.
maybe his unlikeability is jading me.
this is some bullshit too

ParticipantThere is absolutely nothing wrong with his answer. They asked him about Rattler and he said he didn’t care who was there he was focused on his goal. Excellent answer.
What If Caleb said “ I was looking to sit for 2 years until Rattler left….” No way a star says that.
Sam when reminded USC brought in 5 star Ricky Towne, “ best man plays right?” Damn good answer.
Caleb, this past year, did what true superstars do. He lifted a mediocre team and carried them to the playoffs. Not a knock but Sam couldn’t do that. Few can.

ParticipantI see you’re point but I Completely disagree. I understand SR and CW are teammates and also competing against one another. Thats a tough situation. Just say SR is a good guy and I respect that he wants the Same thing that I do and so we are going to compete but we are also teammates and we have to respect and support one another. Either one of us can get hurt or injured and as a teammates we have the same goals.
one answer is from a narcissist and the other from a good dude. As they say the devil is in the details. Or lack thereof.Sam and Brock Purdy are friends. So are Sam and Baker. So are Sam and Josh Allen (Same draft class). So are Sam and Max Browne. I am gonna ASSUME CW and Rattler are not. Or they are not now lol. You can make of that what you will. I know what outcome I would want. We don’t have to agree.

KeymasterI think you’re making too much out of dispenser rattler comment. He’s just saying he’s a competitor worrying about what he controls. You don’t like him we know You think he is some threat to Sam we know
The reality is that he is accomplished far more in his first two years in the NFL than 90% of even top draft picks. Look at Trevor Lawrence, who still muddling around after six or seven years in the league trying to get to that next level of the playoffs that Caleb got to in his second year
I’ve said this often and I will say it again. Caleb likes making money. Caleb likes being famous and popular. Caleb likes social media. Caleb likes his parents and pleasing them and being a good son. And he is willing to work very hard to do the things he needs to do to make the above work and be successful. He is very driven. Just not the way you and I are used to seeing
After all of the above and I certainly don’t mean first on the list I mean fourth or fifth Caleb may or may not like football. And to have a long and successful career in the NFL you really need to like that game and be able to sacrifice your body, your mind, and sometimes even your personal life and marriage for it
In many ways, this guy is immortal talented and driven version of JT Daniels. He’s living his dad’s dream

ParticipantCaleb Williams has fallen into a great situation.
Ben Johnson leaving Detroit helps Chicago X 2
Bears were 8-7 or 7-8 the year they drafted CW. Not 1-16 or 2-15. Because they had Carolina’s pick from their stupid trade to give a ton of draft capital to move up and get Bryce Young from year before. that draft capital also allowed them to get A star TE Loveland and Odunze (who’s been ok but not great)
bears had DJ Moore & Cole Kmet day 1 for Caleb.
One a true superstar WR and the other a highly drafted TE.
Bears signed Joe Thuney. The best guard in the NFL.
the bears have the best run game in the NFL. That’s a young QBs best friend.
Sam leaving Vikings
the bears have a good defense. A few stars.
its funny. Sam makes alot of off script plays and I typically defend them. Sometimes they work and sometimes it’s a sack/fumble let alone an INT. I defend them because I understand them.
CWs off script plays are kind of a disaster. That game tying play against rams was 100% theater, 100% talent and 50% wackiness. Trust me the math works. I couldn’t get behind him running backwards for 20 yards. Glad the play worked out. If it didn’t and I know it’s a big if (TE pushed off BTW) that play would have hung over CW as an anchor. It would have been replayed over and over and over and sadly that story may have been written. However prematurely. The league is a Tough gig. The most talented QB I’ve ever seen (besides Josh Allen) was called a bust for 6 years. I don’t know if CW has the mental toughness to handle the bust label. Glad he delayed it for a year.until CW can hit layups and 12’ bank shots at a 90% clip he’s not an elite talent. This is why I worry. Of course I care about arm angle, mobility and quickness . I also care about accuracy and consistency. Actually more so.

KeymasterDo you ever post anything about Caleb without mentioning Sam?
Do you ever post anything about anyone without mentioning Sam?
Have you ever thought about seeking help? You really should
