IMO Riley is in the perfect position long term. In the NFL he would be stuck with the players his team would draft or pickup in free agency, and he would certainly have a say in that. At USC he has the ability to pretty much pick who he wants with a program management team focused on recruiting so he can give them input but not have the overwhelming of the day to day recruiting that most college head coaches face. Topping all that off is a beautiful home on the beach in Southern California in the center of the glitter of LA with year-round beautiful weather. That wouldn’t likely be the case unless he ended up with a Southern California NFL team.
I think he stays at SC unless the Rams or Chargers come calling.
