ParticipantNo on Reggie Bush, not even close. Reggie had amazing RB style, almost like the Great Gayle Sayers, Chicago. HF Johnson is a meat and potato RB, think of Sua Craven, but faster 10.45 100 m. Johnson is a physical RB, will run over you. C.LR will have a difficult time where to play him. I would ask him and play him at his desired position. Keep him happy.
I know he can play both ways, mostly on D and sometimes on O, just like how USC used Adoree Jackson. But, yeah dis is a big Kaboom. Bruddah Balls called it all da way. Dam not even Big Dave (his agent/manager) could not sway him away from picking USC. It must be killing Big Dave Mucho… Cheers

troystoryParticipantSounds like he’ll play RB and safety, a rare combo. The only similar arrangement that I can think of was Myles Jack at UCLA, RB and LB. Playing both sides usually means receiver. It’s a lot of wear and tear for a player

ParticipantSC had Tre Madden, who was a RB/LB. Had some pretty good stats as a runner. Don’t recall how good a LB he was.

ParticipantUnfortunately Tre Madden was hurt a lot at USC. He played in 32 games, rushing for 1,500 yds, 47 ypg, played only a little at LB. Tre, 6-1, 235 lbs was way bigger than HF Johnson. Madden was a pure power Rb’s (ran like a FB). Tre was a force at Mission Viejo. Bad injuries impeded his time at USC. Madden ran maybe a 11.3/11.4 100 m, while Johnson is way faster a PR 10.48 100 m (more like a 10.75 avg)
Tre Madden came from good FB genes from his mother side. His mom maiden name was McCutcheon, his uncle, former great Daylon McCutcheon and former great LA Ram’s RB, grandfather Lawrence McCutcheon. Tre grew up most of his life in Texas, but moved to Orange Country for 10th grade.
On D Johnson is versatile, he played SS, S or OLB for his HS. The DC moved him around a lot. Now, DC Patterson will most likely tinker where he will play Johnson. He was a force on D.
Heck, Johnson killed it as a RB, Jr season: R = 150 times, 1,785 yds, 11.9 ypc, 25 TD’s. P receptions = 35 rec, 585 yds, 8 TD’s. Track PR 10.48 100 m, 22.5 200 m. Seeing him in games he looks more like a 10.75 100 m guy. He is very fast power RB. Nah, he get some playing time as a RB for sure… Cheers

ParticipantI keep reading it will be more like Adoree, sweeps, wheel routes, screen and that sort of thing as opposed to between the tackle type handoffs.
One thing I’m sure of, Riley will figure out how to get him one on one with linebackers in space.Let’s pump the brakes on the Reggie comparisons. In a world where the phrase “generational talent ‘ is overused, Reggie is the definition of a generational talent.

KeymasterIf I’m sc I play him at db unless he’s a game changer on O. And on o I give him maybe 5 Carries a game. Enough to stay interested. Enough to be the 2nd or 3rd string back or provide injury depth
