Heisman final 4 and NY

It’s QB Mendoza, Indy (da favorite), QB Sayin, Ohio St, QB Pavia, Vandy, and RB Love, ND.  I predict Pavia will pull da upset and win the Heisman.  Because of the 6 voting regions, Mendoza, Sayin and Love pretty much come from the same region (Midwest, East) their votes will get diluted.  Whereas, Pavia has the whole South, Southeast, Southwest regions votes.  Just my thoughts…  Cheers

PS.  If I was a voter, my scoring: Pavia = 3 pts, Mendoza = 2 pts, Sayin = 1 pt

I think Mendoza gets the hardware after he iced the game against a great Ohio St defense when he hit Becker on that 33 yd play late in the 4th qtr. Maybe not, but that’s the kind of play voters remember and Indiana finished perfect at 12-0.

Bruddah RWC,   Sure I see your point.  But let’s stop and think the 96% of voters from the 6 regions are media people, the rest are former Heisman winners.  Do you believe the voters from the South, Southeast, Southwest are gonna place their 1st place vote = 3 pts for Mendoza, Saying or Love?  The Heisman award in reality is not objective reasoning but very much bias.  They will vote for their guy from their region.

I’m predicting that because Mendoza, Sayin and Love come from the same region.  Their votes will get diluted and hurt their aggregate total.  The West will vote most likely for Sayin since he’s from Calif.  Northwest will vote objectively.  This 2025 Heisman won’t be a run away winner; it will be very close.

It will be interesting how things fall and how voters from the 6 regions vote…  Cheers

Paiva is my guy.  I like his game and story.  Not so much his family

 

I think sayin is a product of his team.

I like Mendoza a lot though the whole transfer one year and instantly win heisman thing is kinda lame.  Opportunistic.  But he’s had a great year and has led Indiana beyond where anyone thought they’d be.  So I’d be happy if he won too.

I don’t want to see another Ohio state guy win it and tie usc lol

Hell my prediction/theory did not happen.  Not only did Paiva win the HM award, it was a run away for Mendoza.  In consolation, at least Paiva came in 2nd.  Apparently the regional voters from Southeast, Southwest did not give Paiva with 1st place, 3 pts votes.  Shockingly, Mendoza got the 1st place votes-3 pts from his region, Midwest, East.  I had thought with him, Sayin and Love in the same region their aggregate pts total would get diluted.  Very good all 6 regions voted for the best player and did not vote with bias.  Congrats to Mendoza, he deserved the HM award…  Cheers
