KeymasterAnd you know Railoa is getting 2-3 mil.
Yeah I’m sure both deals and Oregon’s whole nil
Fits in the ncaa regulated numbers. As if.Nike just says to the ncaa. Uh it’s fool. They’re all performing critical marketing jobs. And ncaa says “ok” and runs along with all their sponsorship money

LA DuckParticipantAs I said a few years back, I’m not at all in favor of NIL without restraints and oversight. But as long as it’s a part of the college football landscape, I’m all for Oregon exploiting it as much as possible.
It took you Trojans a bit to come down from your holier-than-thou attitude, but you’re finally catching up with us quacks in that regard as seen by your #1 recruiting class for 2026. Congrats!! 🙂
BTW my understanding is there are no caps for NIL provided they follow reasonable market standards, and are cleared through NIL Go. NIL Go could just be a paper tiger, but I think what helps Oregon to better legitimize these kinds of deals than others is the close association with NIKE who is uniquely involved with sports and athletes and is a sponsor to over half of all college football programs. It’s not like Oregon is getting oil baron Billy-Bob from Lubbock to feature a player in his dealership commercial and paying him $5M to do so.

ParticipantA player is getting 5 million to be in a commercial. Any idea what Moore is doing to earn his 7.5 million? 😄

ParticipantNot surprise by that $1 figure. Uncle Phil is gonna go all out buying a NC, he wants a NC before his time is up. More power to him and Oregon. I personally think dat’s crazy money. No wonder D. Moore passed up the draft, $7.5 M is freaken Mucho dinero for a young man.

TEEParticipantNo one can put a cap on NIL. Does any professional player have a cap on what they make off of endorsements? Federer gets $5 mil for wearing a Rolex in public.
Donte can make $7 mil for wearing a Nike tee in public one time. Thats the law. Ask Ed Obannon.
Add the portal. And we have parity. The ncaa tried to restrict transfers. Ahh, can’t. It’s against the law. A regular student can transfer 50 times if he wants.
the sec. , teams like OSU , SC are pissed because they handed out bags under the table for decades to take advantage . Now that’s it’s above the table , SC is pissed. Lol. Too bad.
Indiana showed how to do it two years. And you all are mad. 😡

TEEParticipantIt’s not Oregons money. It’s Phil’s. It’s like 10 bucks to him. What’s he gonna do with $40 billion at 87 years old? Buy Greenland?

DaystalkerParticipantHe can buy his employees a swing set and little playground for their breaks, for starters. Ha, like they get breaks. Broken fingers for not sewing fast enough maybe.
