ParticipantDude was given his ultimatum yesterday morning, finalizing the details by end of week, or so I’ve heard. I guess he has some time to go through everything and negotiate or whatever due to Laws, but the deed is done and supposedly there is a plan and people already in place behind the scenes. For the record, This is all rumor mill, I have no inside sources whatsoever and have just pieced this together from snippets of what I have heard and a wild imagination, so this is mere fantasy fiction and opinion.

ParticipantYou can scratch the rumor mill portion of your post. I have reliable sources (after decades of small donations to the baseball and softball programs) that have confirmed your first two sentences. Now the lawyers will begin their negotiations re financial settlements and a timetable.

ParticipantNo you have to be careful, the guy reads all the sports boards, as do almost all of the coaches, recruiting staffs, etc. They all do. You’d be surprised at how many times they have received inside info that has been in their favor just from reading message boards. Typically it is an intern that does the scouring, but they do issue intel reports off of what they see. Sources get burned constantly and get in big trouble, and they float out bad info all the time just to see who is spilling the beans. I bet this is probably one of their favorite boards to read though, probably gives them a laugh or two in between the drone of boredom from the rest of them. They have probably learned so many things from posters here, like the car ride home when the five year old kid brings up something he overheard his drunk uncles talking about at the family BBQ. “Mom, what’s a Cleveland Steamer”?
