ParticipantNo thanks to the Rosen offer, I’ll choose to remember these UCLA and Super Bowl greats
1) Troy Aikman (3X SB Dallas)
2) Steve Bono (XXIV- 49ers)
3) Tommy Maddox (XL- Steelers)
4) Tom Ramsey ( XX- Patriots)
5) Jay Schroeder ( XXII- Redskins)
6) Billy Kilmer ( VII)- Redskins)
I forgot a couple others but this group ain’t too shabby.

ParticipantBruddah RWC, thanxs for sharing dat very impressive list of UCLA QB’s. Shoot you guy’s smoke USC by a wide Mile.
About 2000’s I pretty much stopped following da NFL, da D were overtaking the pro game. All I was seeing were FG’s.
Man in the 50’s to 80’s da NFL or Pro FB was fun to watch. Mucho long bombs, great RB’s running wild, high scoring games. Now days hardly long bombs, no run game and nothing but FG’s in RZ. Da run game is non existent.
Back in the day, 50’s to 90’s da run game was great, filled with big stars: Jimmy Brown, Walter Payton, OJ Simpson, Gayles Sayers, Barry Sanders, Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, Emmit Smith, Earl Campbell, Tony Dorsett, Roger Craig, Franco Harris. Then, I was blessed to see these All Pro RB’s in action: John Henry Johnson, Joe Perry, Jim Taylor, Larry Csonka, Paul Hornung, Ollie Matson, John Riggins, Leroy Kelly, Lenny Moore, Hugh McElhenny, Frank Gifford, Alan Ameche, and Doak Walker.
All these guys were just great RB’s, who made the pro game very exciting to watch… Cheers

ParticipantThey all won Super Bowl rings except Ramsey and Kilmer. I’ll say one thing about Aikman, for a fag he sure hangs out with some of the best looking ladies I have ever seen. Seen him twice in person and both times killer chicks. I guess they are just props for show right?

ParticipantI’m with you Butkus, I don’t watch NFL games anymore either except for the some of the playoffs and SB. All those guys you mentioned I remember well, those were fun days to watch.
I was friends with some former NFL greats, and had some good times hanging out with Tom Fears, Rudy Bukich and Don Meredith. BTW I know we both love tennis and Tom Fears was pretty good we had some fun matches. Bukich and his son kicked me and my brother’s ass in basketball.Good times all those dudes are gone now, and unfortunately the NFL is no longer the same for some of us.
