Clemson Loses to State Penn

Clemson, preseason #4 loses to a team without a coaching staff to end at 7-6. Dabo has fought the transfer portal era and it’s going to cost him. Those that can’t adapt die.

Don’t tell TEE.   He has a man-crush on Dabo.

As you know, he prefers Dabo over Lanning these days.

Go figure.  The man (ie TEE) has 1 solid take out of every 6.

Hint:  That wasn’t one of them.  🙂

Hahaha. My take on Tee is that he overreacts. On a board where people race to call coaches and players busts Tee is right there. Even so, Tee should post more. Dabo showed that he is not strategic in his thinking. Perhaps Dabo thinks so much of his coaching skills that he thought winning big was possible without the jimmys and joes. Change or go extinct. What a life lesson.

Clemson added three players from the transfer portal for the 2025 season: linebacker Jeremiah Alexander (Alabama), receiver Tristan Smith (SE Missouri St.) and edge rusher Will Heldt (Purdue).

I wonder how many they lose?  Most teams lose a good 8-15 normally these days. Due to busts and also kids not getting what they expected.

I think Dabo is talking all this smack because he’s recruiting a bunch of young talent.  So his coaching mind says man these guys are gonna be good. Soon.   But if you lose such a big number each year those guys never really mature and grow.   At least Into what you projected

riley is trying to adapt.  His strategy is also under assault.  He was once renowned for his roster building and management.   Spaced out recruiting so he’d go after 5 star guys every two years at a position.  But went hard.   That worked when everyone stuck around 3-5 years.  Now he’s got holes everywhere.  At least UsC has a Bowden.

Heck, C. Kiffin is a Master at shopping the TP and roster management.  He plugs in holes, but many TP players after one year moves on to the next team.  But, C. Kiffin just regroups and shops the TP hard and plug in holes again.  Seems like he does not lose sleep when his top players leave after a short stint at Ole Miss.  I’m sure he will continue this process at LSU…  Cheers
