I really thought losing the pregnant OL would harm USCs notoriously porous and eternally thin OL.  Hasn’t worked out that way.  They were deeper than I expected.  Hopefully these new guys now are starting to age and mature and they’ve have a pipeline soon.

cb?  They seem to recruit about 4 a year and I’m not sure any of them are top notch.  Tough position.  All people remember are your failures

Best coach o n the staff is Hanson. What a great job of plugging in guys to replace injured players without missing a beat. Great run blocking and pass protection. Lost three starters, plugged in bench guys, including a walk on (Miller) and kept n clicking.

Shaka Bruddah Ballss, 100% agree OL C. Hanson has done a Great job with his young OL.  He along with C. LR has done a wonderful job for the O (top 2 O in country).  Oh, yeah C. Hanson is an A+ recruiter too.  I would put a good word for RB C. Tony Jones.  Our run game has been light out dis year.  Plus, he’s an A+ recruiter, he got 2 of the nation’s 2026 top RB’s.

Big disappointment goes to DC. DA Lynn and his AC’s.  Freaken D is pretty bad.  Sad as sheet, 9 games into the season it has not improved.  Wipe Out.  Dang, he has the players too…  Cheers

Bingo on the RB coach. Recruiting and getting King Miller ready is an absolutely great job.

I’m disappointed with the ‘backers but Ryan didn’t inherit much talent there. We finally saw #44 LB Tagoa’i play. It didn’t go well, he got abused on a screen pass when he bit inside and follows that up when lost the WR on a sell move. He got pulled and never came back.Ramsey hasn’t played up to expectations either.

Yeah, Ramsey has been a Big disappointment.  He makes bad reads, out of position, looks lost sometimes, misses tackles, on and on.  He should have been one of the leaders on the D.  Same with LB Gentry…

Going on the road.  Holding Neb to 17 when the offense turned the ball over almost in their own red zone and had an awful 3.5 quarters is bad?

I didn’t even think they were bad at nd.  They gave up 27 points on the road while the UsC offense turned the ball over repeatedly and failed on 2-3 4th downs.  You can’t keep doing that to a d

OK, good points Java.  The D did play well at Nebraska and Michigan, one can maybe add the ND game.  I feel DC DA Lynn D and his AC have been a big disappointment.  The FB pundits on TV and media all pretty much say USC D has been a let down.  If the D just allowed only 14 pts per game USC record would be 9-0.

Yeah, the D talent is there so no excuse for C. Lynn to not correct the Big Plays mistakes and have a more dominating D.  Also, I believe the D lacks physicality for a top D.  There’s 2 big games left, Iowa and Oregon, let’s see what kind of D shows up for those 2 games…  Cheers

I’d say between Pregnon, Gary Bryant jr and the Bear, we quacks are pretty happy with our SC transfers, much like you were pretty happy with the Travis Dye transfer.

Jahlil is not quite the same player he was after his knee injury that took him out of commission for 1.5 seasons.  But still would probably start for a lot of teams out there.  Worth a chance to go after him, I’d say.

The starting line up at CB at Oregon is pretty tough competition.  Oregon has the best passing defense (passing efficiency and yards allowed) in D1.  So our cast-offs can be said to be pretty good, I’d think. Our freshman CB Finney is ranked #3 in the country…..crazy as a true frosh.

Granted, we haven’t played a ton of good passing teams to date.  So that sets up a fun game in a few weeks vs your #1 passing offense! Love strength-on-strength battles – something HAS to give!  My guess it will be Oregon’s young secondary not performing as well vs your Trojan’s amazing WRs, but can’t wait to see what happens – will be interesting.

True LAD, you guys are deep and talented at almost every position. The three year head start you got on us with NIL is ver evident.

This recruiting class will reduce that lead to 1-2 years imo.  I think in 2027 there’s a reasonable chance the two teams have equivalent talent on the field.  Let see how many coaches from both sides stick around.  I think both head coaches being around by then is 50-50 and the coordinators all being in place then is less than 25%
