on every single play. They know they can control the line of scrimmage so behind it just grab USC’s receivers on every play. That’s how you put together a good defense the referees are not gonna call it every play all the way down the field.

so they are daring the referees to call this. Knowing that if they do, it will turn the game into a farce. But Notre Dame is willing to do that to dare the referees to turn it into a farce. This is totally Notre Dame’s doing and choice

so look at the replay when Lane caught the ball. He gets loose. They can’t get their hands on him and that’s what happens when Notre Dame can’t get their hands on a USC receiver. 66 yards touchdown.

Notre Dame has had six pass interference penalties called against them this game. I think all in the second and third quarter.

we will see if they change their strategy about just hanging onto the USC receivers all the way down field

No it’s a strategy.  They called 6 of them.    USC threw the ball 42 times.  Being a finance major they make you do math.  See if you can figure out the number of pass plays where it was NOT called?
