IU for me. But Miami will be a great test. Especially on their home field.

My wife and I landed Saturday.  Shaka we’re enjoying Miami’s fabulous weather and cuisine.  Staying in S. Florida until Weds, playing some tennis, but mostly cruising the streets & beaches & relaxing at da pool.  We got lucky with tickets and good seats for $6,000 x 2.  Winter weather right now in Miami is gorgeous, da warm beach water to kill for.  Nah, teasing Y’all, gonna watch da game on my 75″ Samsung and lots of pupu’s, Modelo beer and Colonel EH Taylor, Small Batch, Bottle in Bond, 8 yr, Kentucky Bourbon…  Cheers

I’m picking Indy to win da game and NC, 31-27.   Enjoy da NC game…  Shaka

as you have read here he makes the incredible leap from hockey to football. Asinine as it sounds, he dismisses everyone else’s life experience, understanding the game, and even though he has no experience having played at any level above Pop Warner he explains with a straight face that since he played club hockey at USC that made him understand football because they both involved getting hit

I never asked him whether perhaps wrestling boxing or karate would also have qualified someone to understand football because they got hit as well, but either way grocery stick is constantly reminding us that he was a club hockey player in 1980 college, and that qualifies him to understand football in 2026

now something to understand is that USC does not play division one hockey. Club hockey is something that you and your friends get together and do you rent out a rink you all go you pretend to represent USC and you play other West Coast schools that have 10 or 20 guys from New York or Canada and are doing the same thing. I had many fraternity brothers who were from the northeast or Canada and they played on the USC club team. Most often they had to rent out the rink late hours when the rink was closed anyway and that’s when they had their practices and games No one went other than their girlfriends and maybe their local families

this experience, of course, qualified grocery stick  himself to comment authoritatively on coaches, schemes, athletic directors players, and even other posters. let me know if you follow so far

to sum it up  douche bag San Clemente used incredibly disjointed logic to justify being a douche bag

How does “Grocery” come into it? I get that “stick” means hockey stick.

Rooting for Miami but don’t think they will win.

Seems like Indiana’s whole season has been one long infomercial extolling how better coaching and players’ maturity/age is able to trump the blue chip ratio.  This will be the ultimate test for me.

Will be interesting to see what Oregon’s old coach can do in this environment – has learned enough to finally win the big one?

And it’s just more proof that the transfer portal QB is king over the ancient practice of having a HS recruit remain with the team it chose out of high school and leading that team to the national championship game.

The biggest advantage for Indiana is the coaching.  Mario has definitely improved in this area but Cig is playing chess while the rest of the coaches in college aren’t.

IU 24-14. I think Miami’s defense is too good for the Hoosiers to roll them like they have the other opponents, but I like their momentum and coaching advantage.

Indiana won da NC 27-21.  Dat was a very good game, very physical.  Both teams have great D’s.  Heck, Miami had da chance to win, but dat IT with 51 seconds left was all bad.  Miami without ? belonged in the CFP, dat’s a very good team.  2026 season, once again Miami should make the CFP.  Not sure about Indiana?  They are losing a lot of key players.

After seeing dis game, dam USC has a long ways to go.  Our D players are soft.  They must play team physical D, hard nose FB, become A+ tacklers just like Indiana and Miami.  Heck, the new DC has a big job trying to instill a hard nose culture…  Cheers

PS.  Miami DB’s are the best I’ve seen dis year.  Dang, Indy’s Wr’s were covered like a blanket and had to make tuff catches all night.  Shoot, many incomplete passes were due to DB’s punching the ball out.  And, their front 4 is top three in nation.  USC should go after Miami’s, Indy’s, Texas Tech DC’s.  Shaka

Miami’s pass D committed holding penalties on every pass. They are aggressive to the point of going over the line, but not getting called. One blatant hold took away a sure TD. It was during the Mendoza TD run series so it ended up not changing the outcome, but could have cost IU the game. I guess if you can get away with it you should. Maybe Belk needs to look into this style of play.
