ParticipantNo surprise, da D was the weak link All Season. We’re getting a new DC and hopefully he will turn the D into a force. All dis sheet = bad coaching.
But, the team was missing Mucho key players. Overall, I enjoyed the game; except for the last play in OT. Wipe Out… Cheers

ParticipantCasey Stengel once said of the Mets, “Does anybody on this team know how to play this game?”. Does anybody know how to tackle?

ParticipantI don’t know about your D being the weak link all season when you consider just how bad that defense was before Lynn came over. In just 2 seasons he gave them a different look and they improved a lot. His numbers will prove I’m right.
IMO SC lost the best defensive coach they will ever see until Penn St came and poached him away.TCU did something really smart defensively last night when they adjusted the secondary to undercut all the routes SC was running. You saw it happen on a couple of those interceptions especially the one in the end zone. SC had success running the deeper post but for some reason Riley got away from it, maybe because TCU was starting to get more pressure on Maiava. You could see the physicality of the TCU secondary was making a difference late in the 4th quarter.

ParticipantRWC your numbers prove whaa? The 3/4 losses dis season were due to his D. Here are real numbers for you. C. Lynn was paid $2 M a year and one of the highest paid DC in college. His D stats: #47 in Total D, #47 D allowed points, freaken Wipe Out. GM Bowden got him top players from the TP to plug in holes and dis what kind of D he put together for USC. At his salary, he had better be in the Top 10 to 12 D in nation.
DC DA Lynn did a fantastic job at UCLA, but coached poorly while he was at USC. I’m glad/happy he left. Let’s see who comes in as DC. Our LB and DB AC’s must go too (fired)… Cheers

ParticipantOne constant under Riley; his defense either can’t or won’t tackle
