2024 QB Class

2024 QB Class.

I remember C. LR going after Dylan Raiola 5* and DJ Lagway 5* hard.

I kept thinking how come he did not go after Julian Sayin, 5*, Calif kid, Carlsbad HS?   Saw Sayin play 3 times and loved him and agreed to his 5* ratings.  Now, Julian Sayin is tearing it up at Ohio St.  In fact, he committed to Bama, but when Saban retired and DeBoer became the new HC, Sayin de-committed for Ohio St.

I never thought Raiola was a 5*, glad he did not come to USC, drama Queen.  I thought DJ Lagway was the top QB in the 2024 HS class and 5* all da way.  Shoot, DJ should have picked USC, he would be top 5 QB in college today (2025).  He made a bad decision going to Florida.

In 2024, C.LR ended up with Jayden Maiava, Las Vegas U in the TP as last resort pickup. In fact, Maiava picked UGA and 4 days later change his mind for USC.  In 2024 Maiava, became QB1 after the 7th game after Miller Moss was demoted to QB2.

In the TP, C. LR struck out on Will Howard, Kansas going to Ohio St, Aiden Chiles, Oregon St going to Michigan St, Kyle McCord, Ohio St, going to Syracuse.  After striking out with these QB’s, he went after Mark Gronowski, South Dakota St, going to Iowa.  Heck, Gronowski did not beat out Cade McNamara and became QB2.

I wonder how USC would have done with Will Howard or Kyle McCord in 2024?  These QB’s ripped it at their new schools, Ohio St and Syracuse.

But,  glad we got Maiava, he doing a very good job for us in 2025.  With Longstreet in da wings and coming in for 2026 Jona’s Williams USC’s QB unit is solid.  C. LR must focus on 2027, must get a top QB.  The New Orleans, La HS QB target committed to LSU.  I wonder who C. LR is targeting now days?  Bruddah Ballss do you know?  Cheers
