ParticipantQuentin Hale, Corona Centennial, committing on Friday. Most likely to USC.
Top CB in the state Duvay Williams also leaning USC as is MD CB Danny Lang. Along with the #1 player in California Honor Johnson . That’s 4 of the top 6 in California looking to Fight On.https://x.com/hayesfawcett3/status/2023558731133579314?s=46

ParticipantA Big Shaka and Kaboom. Thanxs Bruddah Balls for da good news and update. I posed this for you in another thread, hopefully you know the answers.
Bruddah Balls, I’ve notice for the 2027 R class, USC is hardly listed with the top 12 players in many of the FB positions on O & D (QB, RB, TE, OL, LB, DE/Edge. Very low interest by the top players. Why the complete reversal from the #1 2026 class when USC was in on most top 12 players of all da O & D positions.
You said it’s gonna be a small class around 18 players. OK, dat would be acceptable, but it better be 5* and 4* ranked players. Oregon last year had a small class but targeted and got highly rated players. Dang, so far only 3 stars players are showing the strongest interest; only a handful 5* and 4* players. Something strange is taking place for the 2027 class. Do you have answers to why the slow play and low interest with the top 12 players? Thanxs in advance Bruddah…. Cheers
PS. Looks like USC will do good with: Wr, DL, DB’s. For QB, I strongly feel, C. LR should go after Dane Weber, #2 Calif, DT QB, Chaparral HS, Temecula, Ca. Man dis kid is very impressive, talented, very athletic. I think if USC go hard and show da love, they will land dis top QB.

ParticipantWhat I’m reading is that USC is being very picky this cycle. The Oregon strategy from last year resonates : keep the guys from last years #1 class and be selective this year. We should see things heat up over the next few months. I will share more as I learn details.
Btw, we haven’t really targeted a QB yet and I keep reading the same buzzwords: USC is being selective. -

ParticipantMcFarland is 95% for Ohio St. Podcaster said he was 70% for USC?
Osani Gayles, from Tracy, Ca; whoa very impressive Wr, looks more like a RB. USC has a good chance getting him.
Not impressed with Warren, Las Vegas. There are 2 Big Wr in Calif dat is way better than him, Bayon Harris, 6-3, 195, lb, Central East HS, Fresno and Rahz Edwards, 6-6, 205, Grant Union, Sacramento.
Demar Dezeurn, 6-0, 175, 4*, Palisades HS, Calif, very impressive Wr, very fast 10.45 100 m, but he committed to OU. Hell, I think if USC went hard they could flip him.
So USC’s 2027 Wr class = 3. Commited: Hale, Woodard, for da 3rd Wr, any of these boys would be great: Gayles, Dezeurn, Harris, Edwards. Man dat would be an A+ Wr class.

LA DuckParticipantLock up California!!!
Good get re Hale, #8 WR per 247. My quacks are looking very solid with Dakota Guerrant, #7 WR….albeit from Michigan.
Glad you get it, BB, that things are reversed for the 2027 recruiting class: USC needs to be picky, like Oregon was last year. And Oregon will do what USC did for the 2026 class and corral a large number of talent this time.
To me the “#1 recruiting class” is a real misnomer. USC had that honor based on overall quality and sheer numbers, although Oregon had the best star average in the nation for the class at 92.86, but still came in #3. So I could see that being reversed this time around, again based on need more than anything else.
