Imo dodgers are toast.  Blue jays have lived with fastballs at the lower part of the zone and then used sinkers and splitters to go even lower.  Dodgers have no answers.  Reminds me a lot of the 2017 series where the Astros destroyed Cody Bellinger and to a lesser degree Cory Seager.

dodgers are a power hitting team and can’t get under those pitches    The jays remind me of what la was back then.  A contact team that stretches at bats.

looking at this series.  The Dodgers have played poor defense.  The jays have not made an error in 10 games.  Massive. The Dodgers have won two climactic historic games.  A near perfect game thrown by Yamamoto and the marathon 18 inning deal.  When the two teams play normal baseball games.  The jays are winning.  Easily.

So could Yamamoto deliver another masterpiece and force a game 7?  Sure.  Won’t do any good if the dodgers keep scoring 1-2 a game.

the jays pitchers were not supposed to be able to throttle the dodger Lineup.  This was what the dodger pitchers were supposed to do.

so looking back.

jays had a pesky lineup that made contact.  Done.

dodgers had a starting rotation that was excellent.  It’s been good.

jays had a starting rotation that could be gotten to.  It’s been excellent and this has flipped the series.

both teams had suspect pens.  Dodger pen other than one game has been awful.  Jays pen has been very good.

scouting coaching and prep.  Jays have made lots of moves.  Platoons.  Lineup changes   Everything’s worked.   Roberts stuck with pages far longer than he should have.  We haven’t seen Kim at all  Roberts has ignored righty lefty matchups n insisted on trotting out kike.  And his big lineup change was moving Mookie from 2 to 3.   So Roberts and the Dodger scouts have been badly outplayed.

having said that.  There are 30 teams in mlb.  You’re down to two.  Teams exploit weakness.  La won last year doing to the Yankees  what Toronto is doing to them.  It’s just the way things are painful to watch but super bowls are the same.  People think teams that lose the Super Bowl suck and pick them apart.  Not true.  Someone has to win and right now the jays are clearly the better team
