First, Deboer was at UW for only 2 years.

Second, UW took a couple of ‘gambles’ with Neuheisel and Sark. Like Cignetti, they had 2 good/very good seasons but they started to falter starting with their 3rd seasons. Now, I don’t necessarily see that for Cignetti, but it will be interesting to follow.

Ty Willingham was a disaster even before the beginning. Nobody I know thought it was nothing except a terrible choice and even he lasted 1 year longer than he should have.

I guess you forgot about Petersen 2014 – 2019. 2 conference championships, 3 BCS bowl appearances and a CFP appearance in 6 seasons after taking over a very unbalanced roster under Sark. Too bad he didn’t like what he was seeing with college football moving forward, from a coaching standpoint. I get it. I came to the same conclusion as a fan.

As far as Fisch goes, we will see what happens if he stays at UW for more than a few seasons. If he heads off elsewhere, UW will find another one. I am not as invested/engaged as I used to be but still like the game of football and enjoy the atmosphere of a college football stadium.
