10-26-25, updated NCAA stats. 124 schools/teams. Maiava is being disrespected by the media for hardly getting mention in many top 10 Heisman candidates. Out of the 10 projections I saw, Maiava is mentioned only 3 times, 7 to 10 rankings. BS. Maiava is top 5 in my book.
USC, Jayden Maiava, # 5/124, QBR 173.53, passing 2180 yds, 7 games, # 3 ypg 311.4 yds, 69% completion, 16 TD.
For you UCLA honks, see and compare. So who’s the better QB? Note. Nico was a 5* HS rated, # 3 in country with Mucho offers, vs Joey was a 2* HS rankings with zero college offers. Joey ended up in JC and after 2 yrs was the # 2 ranked JC QB. Nico is 6-6, 215 lbs, Joey is 6-3 220 lbs, both are big QB’s. Both have strong arms, and athletic (can run well) but Joey is way better over all passer, accuracy and long ball touch. Joey made a lot of coaches look stupid for not recruiting him. His HS, Freedom HS, Brentwood, Ca was a high ranking D-8, CIF FB team What a success story.
UCLA, Nico Iamaleava, # 99/124, QBR 124.06, passing yds- 1468 yds, 8 games # 91 ypg, 183.5 yds, 63% completion, 10 TD
Tennessee, Joey Aguilar, # 14/124, QBR 162.82, passing yds 2344, 8 games # 8 ypg 293 yds, 66% completion, 18 TD
