And they don’t suppose that was?   You think he had a bad breakfast or do you think maybe the looks he was given.  The shifts and the defense had something to do with it?

 

again. How many points ?  my answer going in would have been that if you keep Notre Dame under 30 you’ve got a real shot to win this game because the strength of the USC team is offense. And I believe they had scored over 30 every game this season.  So I think 27 is a pretty legit showing.

now if you also factor in that USC gave Notre Dame five free shots. Five bonus shots at the defense due to fourth down failures and turnovers. I think that affects things.  Obviously you want to stop the run and they didn’t.  But the object is to keep them off the scoreboard and 27 isn’t a bad number.

for the usc team to give up a ko return is a killer.

and for USC to kill two drives when they had a chance to take control of the game with the quarterback and lemon both turning the ball over was murderous    The interception was all on the player. And I would even say that in the case of lemon, it was as well. Because you just have to either throw the ball when you first wind up and if it’s not there, throw it out of bounds or choke the ball and run out of bounds or try to make the most you can on the play.But being in between on your decision and starting to run the ball out of bounds, and then deciding to wind up and possibly throw was on the player
