This entire game feels like an uphill battle.  They hold Illinois to three points on the opening possession. So instead of staring at 21 seven down and Illinois having the ball, USC can actually tie the game down 17 to 10 they marched down field. They look good and then maiava throws his first pick of the season.

this game is two steps forward, three steps back  and suddenly the Trojans are in danger of being down double digits yet again
