Don't get carried away, ATL. There's a big difference between a KABOOM and a BOOM.
A KABOOM announces the commitment of a 5-star or high 4-star prospect.
A BOOM is what my dogs leave on the lawn.
He sounds like the guys Chip gets into the League.
"Tacoma (Wash.) Mount Tahoma offensive lineman Marquise Thorpe-Taylor is headed to UCLA.
A week after taking his official visit to Westwood, Thorpe-Taylor announced his pledge to the Bruins on Saturday afternoon.
"The biggest reason I picked UCLA was just the great environment that the players and coaches have," said Thorpe-Taylor. "It makes it a good fit."
Thorpe-Taylor had planned to take official visits to Oregon, USC and Washington, but the official to UCLA blew him away and he didn't need to see any other schools.
"When I took my official, seeing all of it made it feel like it was for me," said Thorpe-Taylor.
The Bruins offered Thorpe-Taylor in April after having visited in January- and despite multiple Pac-12 offers, including the Ducks, Huskies and Trojans, plus Stanford as well as fellow in-state program Washington State, even the later offer didn't hurt UCLA's chances."
