OT Mission Impossible and others

While it's on my mind New Jurassic park coming out. Looks compelling. I was just in Kauai so it held more interest than most. Nothing new. They return to an island with Dinos that are running amok I know! Original huh?

Superman looks promising. Near as I can tell they don't make him gay or dead. Looks like he has a dog.

Believe it or not, they are reviving Police Squad and it looks hilarious. I swear, Liam Neeson is taking over for Leslie Nielson and there is a side splitting OJ reference. See if you can find it on the trailer.

OK, Mission Impossible. Rather. Mission Preposterous. All indications are this is the LAST one. So they are going to tie everything together like Avengers did with End Game. Problem is, Mission has been going on for about 30 years. I watched them all once. I don't remember all the plots. They all kinda go the same way. But through this one, there are all these long drawn out dialogues of goodbye. And I will do this mission because someone has to die. In the end, only one person did. And it's not Tom Cruise so they can do more. I didn't need the female black President. And the female Aircraft Carrier Commander (Admiral?) and the black male submarine commander. There was another black female I think in charge of something. It's a 100% DEI cast. Including chicks beating up guys twice their size and weight.

I actually didn't mind the ridiculousness of all the stunts and timing and all that. I get the premise. The only one that annoyed me is that OK, I am a diver. Not a great one. But truly open water ocean certified. We were Trained by a jerk Navy Seal and not one day resort. One month. Classroom, pool, then Catalina on New Years. Brrrrrr. So I DO KNOW that if you're diving the artic down to a sunken SUB. You are going to die in a 5 mil suit. Tom's even looked like a 3. No chance. I also know if you SHED your suit and ditch your tanks and mask? 500 feet deep? You are dead. No doubts. You can't hold your breath that long and surface. You can't handle that temp with your skin. Ask the Titanic jumpers. And you get the bends if you come up anywhere NEAR that quick. Of a fraction of it. And you will die of them. Not just have a restless night in bed with some hot chick looking at you longingly. So that was dumb and hard to swallow. Couple bloody scenes with knives I could have done without.

Whole premise is the world is being attacked by a computer virus. I think they did this before but somehow this time it's mutated or something. Some silly outlandish scenes. But that's the nature of the series. It was fun, nothing more. Won't change the world even if Ethan Hunt saved it. yet again.

I really wanna see that Police Squad thing now.
