Oregon trying to Hire Patterson

Just to keep him away from USC, like as an assistant, at more money as USC DC offer? Don’t they have a DC? And wasn’t Patterson available to anyone? That is financial might if true.

Freaken A.  Yeah, C. Lanning must hire an DC and OC.  Both left for HC jobs.  Dam, I thought C. Petterson and USC was just wrapping up his contract.  I really hope we get him as our DC…  Cheers

Heard the rumors (all from the SC boards, nada from the quack boards), but doesn’t make sense to me.

Oregon has already promoted Hampton to full DC after being co-DC.  What?  They gonna bring in Patterson now as co-DC or to only coach the safety’s perhaps (Hampton’s old position)?

lol…really makes no sense whatsoever….

So…what do you Trojans think of the Patterson hire?  I think that would be a more interesting topic to post about perhaps? 🙂

Myself, I always thought he was a solid head coach – was even considered for the job at Oregon before we hired Taggart back in 2017 – but don’t know much about his defensive ideology.

Riley is the ultimate hot seat coach. Patterson’s potential mindset is to tell Jen that he’s not comfortable that she’s doing the hiring and working for a coach that’s going to get fired. At his age, he’s probably right.
