ParticipantWell deserved. He’s so good. White Boy Summer continues in the NFL.
but How stupid was your coaching staff to have that dude sit for 2/3 years?

ParticipantKind of right. He sat his Freshman year as a walk on, and then came on his Sophomore year playing in 13 games as a LB and special teams player before breaking out his Junior season officially being named captain and a starter winning All American honors.
So yea you could say they wasted his Freshman year maybe, but he didn’t just ride the bench for 3 years.

KeymasterI’m always amazed that the NFL has so many guys like this who were not the five star elite. But somehow make themselves into something special.
as much as the NFL is a funnel that eliminates so many on the way I think it’s incredible that guys who weren’t all that in high school or even college can wind up being this successful in the NFL
I tend to want to attribute logic to it, and therefore suspect that these guys tend to be steroid users and painkiller junkies who have made a mental decision to endure massive levels of pain and personal sacrifice to their future health
but that doesn’t change how they managed to play at this level with the agility and speed that the NFL requires so I’m still amazed

ParticipantAs usual you missed the point. 😂🤦♂️
he was missed out of HS and early on at ucla. He ended up a star there. Well at least an AA. UCLA hasn’t had a football star since Cade

KeymasterThe answer is second round by Cleveland. If you are a rookie of the year in Cleveland and you got picked in the second round. There are a lot of people who missed out on you.
so as usual, you missed the point because it’s not like he made himself into the Lombardi award winner at UCLA and everybody jumped aboard from then on
I think this is a guy who didn’t have the measurable was overlooked and as I said, there’s an entire culture of guys who I think make a conscious decision to load up on painkillers, play violently and use steroids to go from being average Joe to being able to make a living in the league

ParticipantLol. No one doubles down at being wrong quite like you. It’s actually remarkable. Well done Black Knight. Keep bleeding.
2nd round is 33 and on right? Teams have different needs. Getting drafted in 2nd isn’t “falling” a lot. There are thousands of college players.
1st round of draft is as much combine freaks as it is college production. Always has been. Some are both of course.
its DROY not ROY. Details matter
