      I said not an INT yesterday. He lands with ball and is clearly contacted but he also clearly didn’t survive the ground which isn’t the case with a fumble for some reason (I’ve always hated that fumble rule). In hindsight I think it’s an INT. But man that’s as close as it gets

      I’m a bronco fan and that all happened so fast but I think that is a catch.

      I truly believe that in particular in the NFL to a lesser degree in college, this business of catching the ball and making a football move and surviving the ground and all of that other crap goes a little far they want the guy to catch the ball and run halfway back to the bench before they call it to catch

        Well said. That is so subjective. And as mentioned, the complete opposite for a fumble. Any finger touches and he is ruled down by contact. Thats the inconsistency that has to be sorted out.

        “surviving the ground” also means surviving a guy ripping it from you now. That being said Cooks needs to hang onto the ball.

        it was an incredible play with so many what ifs.

      I understand both sides of it. I think we’ve made the definition of a catch so much more than it needs to be. If he was a runner then he’s down by contact, but since he’s a receiver he makes the catch and has to survive the ground, but as a runner the ground can’t cause a fumble if his knees/elbows are down right?  Then there’s the definition of “a football move,” that comes up now and then. Jeez.

        And the fact they spent 0.18 seconds on it after spending 20 minutes on something more minuscule in the 1st or 2nd quarter screams inconsistency.

        btw that’s always the tell. When they fast forward through it you know there was a call. And vice versa of course

        of course, thinking it the other way if it did not get ruled that way then everybody on the Internet, Instagram Denver fans and even myself would probably be jumping up and down saying that Denver got robbed. If you see it in real time that happens so fast that is almost looked like Some weird gymnastics, move

        actually that was basically the same move if you’ve ever heard my story when I was a teenager and I was doing karate and I decided to leap over the guy like a video game and land and then turn around and punch him in the head or something anyway the guy held onto my arm and it ended up, ripping it out of my  shoulder socket

         

        the motion looked very similar to that play. Two bodies in momentum the one guy flipped over the top. He ripped the ball out from the other guy. All in one motion and then slipped over and lands on his back. Now imagine that same basic player where the receiver holds onto my right arm and when I end up on my back my arm is still back the other direction

        I’m telling you that one hurt.  if I had only played contact sports and been punched in the face. I would’ve understood football so much better
