And the collective fate of the college football world hangs in the balance!

Ok, no, not really (regarding the fate of the world at least).

Wondering if this was orchestrated as a PR move by Oregon (if he returns) or his agents (if he heads to NFL)?

      Film at 11:30….. 🙂

He gone. Raiola’s commitment telegraphed it.

Not so fast my friend, Dante announced he is coming back.

Raiola was always viewed as the back-up for 2026 and the starter-in-waiting for 2027.  He might not even be able to go for the spring game in his recovery.

If Dante had announced for the NFL, Lanning would have brought in another QB to challenge for the starting position this year.  Longstreet was one, for instance, just like how he’s now backing up Leavitt at ASU.  Intel was Longstreet’s preference was Oregon not LSU if Dante went to the NFL.

great news.  kid has stood there like an idiot and taken the sack since the Army game in high school.

hit him a couple times and he gets rattled.

Maybe he should try flag football.  I think sanka played flag football.

NFL arm doesn’t mean NFL head, although pretty spirals are fun to look at.   sc

He’s probably a bust.   You should call him one.  Ducks fans will pay you to do it with your rack record

if we had only all played hockey

With the QB draft being weak this year I thought he would go. I wonder how much he got in nil to stay. Next year is your year LAD! a lot of starters coming back

lol….I’m not ready to say next season Oregon will be in the championship game.  But it’s probably the best chance we’ve had since the Mariota years.

And Dante definitely has to get tougher in the pocket, and improve his field of vision (miss a TON of open WRs out there currently).  But he doesn’t need to be an NFL QB for us, just good enough to win at the college game.

It’s basically the same path as Michigan, tOSU and Indiana have taken the past few years:  Bring a ton back who could have gone early to the NFL by paying NIL through the nose and see what happens….

The only two starters we are losing early to the NFL are our TE Sadiq and our safety Dillon Thieneman.  Losing a ton of depth, though, and that could have an effect pending injuries next season.  But so are most teams these days.

LAD and TEE you think Raiola stays in Eugene? He is a runner from commitments

I guarantee you this scenario of Dante coming back was pre-approved by Raiola prior to his committing to Oregon.

It’s the same path that Dante took when he sat behind Gabriel for a year after UCLA to grow and to learn Oregon’s system.

Despite Dante’s inherent deficiencies, I think most can see the improvement he made from his UCLA days to last season with my quacks.

Just giving Raiola the same opportunity to learn and grow.  Besides, not sure how long his recovery will be….all thanks to you Trojans! lol!

But at least now, assuming Raiola is ready to go by next season in some capacity, Oregon will have some quality depth at the QB position.  We had a walk-on at QB2 last season, and not a very good one.

Moore will probably still be the #2 QB taken next year.  Manning will go #1.   Even if Moore pencils out a little better Manning will draw attendance.   Jersey sakes etc.    Chambliss could go #2 also.

Ducks need to bring in a QB coach.  Do they have one ?

so yeah, the starting lineup is stacked next year.  Depth at Dline is hurting with 7 transfers out.  That’s makes no sense.   Pay some of them  to come back.

Dan going to be hitting the portal for DL backups and another LT.   Pay Seton his $3 mil.

Railoa signed papers.   Would he re enter the portal next week?  I doubt it.

he knows he’s coming off a broken leg.  And probably won’t even practice spring ball.  Or be limited.     He should be full go this summer, but he will be QB2.    And there are always injuries.   And I bet he gets a lot of playing time.

Here is da deal Duckies, C. Lanning had  better find an OC dat will keep your QB’s producing plays and sharpening their QB skills.  Da OC is gonna be your Key guy…  Cheers

PS.  Kinda risky move by D. Moore electing to return without knowing who his OC and QB coach for 2026.  He is giving up Mucho Moola by not entering the NFL draft.  Dam, he was a top 10 1st rounder.
