      Riley will be just fine and will win coach of the Year in 2026.  Jim Leonhard will save him.  Fret not.

      Because this isn’t something he wanted. Having a successor take over in 2027 who had two years in the system was optimal. Now their likely route is the portal ($$) and having to start someone with months, as opposed to years, in the system. Riley’s development reputation is such that SC should get a top portal rental but homegrown is preferred financially as well as developmentally.

        Don’t forget USC got the Illinois player of  the year in Jonas Williams who we flipped from Oregon this year. Husan wanted a pay raise and USC said no. Can’t blame the guy for that. QB is the last of my concerns. Spend the money on defense is what I think.
