LA DuckParticipantOnly thing I know is if USC had won two playoff games and were currently in the CFP Final Four, this board would be turning over every 5 hours or so with post-after-post….lol! So pardon me if I indulge a bit here this week…. 😉
Oh, the other thing I know is if Oregon doesn’t win it all this season (and I’m not necessarily suggesting we will), there will be COUNTLESS posts (perhaps not so much on here but absolutely on other USC sites) that will be more than happy to talk about the University of Zero and its lack of college football accomplishments despite the multiple playoff and national championship game appearances.
Again, you’d have to live a few years with webbed feet to understand even being included in the CFP Final Four is still nirvana to (most of) our quacking minds. We don’t have double-digit national championship trophies to keep us warm at night like you Trojans do. But we are more than happy to hopefully earn one…..some day. This wasn’t supposed to even be our year, but here we are…albeit with a HUGE immediate task in trying to take down the #1 team in the nation on Friday night.
TEE, hoping you will derive some enjoyment from this journey even if we don’t make it to the promised land this season….there is always next season, and that season should be a humdinger. 🙂
Even Geoff Schwartz feels the same way I do, that 2026 is the Year of the Quack, not 2025 – no matter what happens in the next few weeks.

ParticipantIMO, you ducks certainly have the talent advantage this year. I don’t see Moore staying around and passing up being the first overall pick in the NFL draft, but stranger things have happened. With Texas Tech buying a QB for 5 million, who IMO isn’t the best available, I don’t see a college football future being bright. Cody Campbell could be the death knell of the game we enjoy. As always, my friend, I wish your ducks the worst. LOL!

Sawtooth 24ParticipantLA. Loving every second of this. Tough task this week but at least our team knows exactly what to expect and just how elite this Indiana team is.
I think most teams , including Oregon earlier this year, know Indiana is really good before they play them but deep down there is doubt how elite they really are.
Oregon knows. It may not matter and Indiana might just pull the biggest two year turnaround in sports history this year by winning it all.
good to be in the chase. Looking forward to 26, but finding a way this year even if we aren’t the best team would sure be aeeet.
what are your thoughts on Moore returning in 26.

LA DuckParticipantGood points, Saw. Indiana is so well coached. Texas Tech had the best players, now we face Indiana with the best coaching (no other way to explain their success despite a very mediocre blue-chip ratio.
Did you hear we lost Davison for the playoffs? Looking like 2026 has a better chance of being the Year of the Quack now….lol
I think Moore stays. If ducks win it all (looking less likely now with our #1 RB out), that would maybe give me some pause. But outside of that I think Moore comes back in 2026.

Old PuebloParticipantDucks can ball. I’m good with it. Nice to have fans that aren’t a bunch of a-holes. Good luck all the way!

ParticipantJust remember LA, those guys making cracks about the Ducks are sitting home going nowhere while you guys are in the playoffs AGAIN. That alone puts you light years ahead.

LA DuckParticipantThanks GTrojan, Old Pueblo, RWC and BigBalls!!
Been a fun run but I think depth concerns will catch up to my quacks on Friday….. On life support in terms of RB depth and DB depth due to losing many 2nd and 3rd stringers to the transfer portal.
