ParticipantApparently it’s 22.5? And very old. Apparently Washington’s playoff team a few years ago was one too. And OSU last year.
this makes sense but it’s never talked about.
At USC we don’t seem to keep guys around. Worrisome

DaystalkerParticipantA deep dive will find that Indiana was very lucky with Cig’s hire in that on top of a crazy good coach, the brought with him continuity in both JMU players and staff. That makes a difference (if they are good, of course). We have talked about this a bit on the board lately, and teams are finding that the full roster turnover every year is not really the best formula. A strong foundation sprinkled in with transfers at key positions is and will be, the way to go. It’s like having a bunch of hunting dogs, you don’t just get four of them all at the same time, you invest and train the first two and then each one you get will be trained and forced to assimilate by the older ones. When the oldest one passes on, the next dog takes its place, you get another pup, the cycle continues and you will always have well behaved dogs that you don’t have to train much. You can’t just rent a hunting dog.

DaystalkerParticipantOh he did for sure, but he brought enough “old dogs” with him to keep the “pups” in line and keep the program ship shape.

LA DuckParticipantOregon has one of the younger teams in the nation. Huge advantage to Indiana in that respect.
The Peach Bowl sort of comes down to Blue Chip Ratio vs Age vs Coaching. Ducks have the BCR, Indiana has the age/experience. So this game should come down to coaching. Coaching won it for Indiana at Autzen earlier this season. Will coaching win it for them again?
BYU traditionally has an older team, and it’s why they can be competitive for most of the season until hitting the better teams at the end.
