With approximately seven minutes to go in the first half OU had a fourth down and about 4 or 5 yards short of the 50. Mateer avoids a blitz and the whole left side of the field is wide open and he could gain at least 25 yards and obviously get a first down leading by 17pts. Instead of running he throws an incomplete pass down the field on the run. There is no way Bama wins that game if he runs and gets a field goal or a TD. Really, really a bad decision.
