funny how USC called Riley’s agents bluff on a raise or extension. They must clearly think there are quality coaches who would come for less. This is why I asked earlier about Bowden role. If Riley left does Bowden go too? Or is he loyal and beholden to usc.?

do t know of if I am right but to me the parallel is MLB. Where organizations have every situation mapped out. Stat guys know the odds and probability. Which dictates manager decisions. So between personnel choices. Player movement. Contracts and now even decisions on stealing. Hit and run and other stuff managers are minimized. And you no longer see superstar managers negotiating these massive deals.
I wonder if soon the program will return to being bigger than the coach. The facilities get $. The school rep and history. The AD. The GM. And you plug a coach I to that. I think Ohio state is there and Michigan was. If you have a program so much bigger than the coach then perhaps you don’t need to pay a guy $11 million club a year and you’re not subject to so many swings and gyrations
