      Bruddah Ballss, dam 2 good players, most likely starters next year too.   Can’t be that they were Cut, this move has to be their decision?  What are you hearing?   Cheers

      What’s alarming with USC’s TP, out of the 12 players, 6 are Calif boys (50%).  Not a good sign.

        USC did not meet Lyons nil needs is what I heard. Bowman was not cheap. Thompkins was a surprise but it’s a similar situation. Looks like the coaches want to spend the money on Stewart, Jide, Winfield, Tom Tom And a portal run stuffer. Too bad because he would provide good depth. Maybe DE would have been a better spot for him over DT.
        This is like the nfl now in terms of roster management.

        Makes sense.  They get rid early of all the guys they cut

         

        then they start announcing “signings” after the recruiting class

         

        then we start getting trickles of guys and these are the real departures.  The nfl departures and the portal guys.

        Lyons is a te who shared the position. After spending his first couple years hurt.  Hes not. Qb. He’s not gonna get the $ his brother is.  I smell a mistake there

      Neither of these are cuts and for the longest time we heard about how happy Walker was.  This smells a lot of Ryder got a big bag from BYU.  They know Bowman got a big bag.  And Walker feels like I am gonna be the starter and where’s mine?  This is a tough one.

       

      They should just pull out of the bowl, this is ridiculous.

       

      Thompkins, again, not sure.  I didn’t like him but others did.  I don’t think this is a playing time issue and with him coming back he’d be even more entranched.  Maybe because Stewart got more?

       

      Stewrta is out for the bowl.  Apparently made freshman All American playing on a broken foot all year.  Wow.

        You want to pull out of the bowl game because you lost a few players to the portal?  Perfect time for some of the other guys to shine.  It’s a glorified scrimmage anyways unless you are in the playoffs, so the staff can go out and really see who they want to keep and who they want to nudge to transfer.

      Thanxs Bruddah for the info.  Dam, these 2 fine players leaving the FB program are the result of wanting a pay raise due to seeing other NIL deals.  It’s human nature, but returning players have to understand there are limits to a school’s check book.  Dang, I would not want to be in GM Bowden’s shoes, he has a difficult job managing the check book and players ego’s.  No wonder C. Saban quit/reitred; he saw the handwriting for the R game and roster management.

      Good luck to Lyons and Thompson, hope they find a school that will meet their asking price.  There are risk, just ask Nico Iamaloser at UCLA, lol…  Cheers.

      PS.  You said it’s like the NFL?  If an NFL player is unhappy with his contract, he can not leave (like college and TP route).  I think college FB is more brutal for schools vs NFL roster management.  We all knew the NIL was gonna create dissension among players.  Wipe Out…

      Maybe there’s an underlying reason for Walker Lyons leaving; which relates to his younger brother, QB Ryder?   I’m thinking he & family may have bitterness towards USC, which stopped recruiting Ryder?   Cheers
