    Lets go back to USC 2001. Why didn’t everyone see what a great hire Pete Carroll would be? Why wasn’t he working in the NFL? Why did USC offer the job to Belotti, Erickson and Riley before Carroll?

  Coaching period. Indiana had not been a factor in football since 1967 before Cignetti’s arrival. Ohio State and Indiana will be a great game Saturday by far the two best teams.
