ParticipantRaleek has gone over 1000 yards for the season too. I watched some of that game. He struggles in pass protection but is having a good year. Oh well, can’t keep them all. Woody was better and so is Waymo but Leek would have been good off the bench.

KeymasterDo you go to Toys R us with Pasadena and point to all the toys you want Mommy to buy you too? Does she explain you’ve already thrown away half of them?
ASU plays in a JV conference and league They’ve lost to Messy State and Houston. Get real. They are 8-3 somehow.
If Brown wanted to go play where things are less physical, he found the place.

ParticipantHe was a bad RB while he was here. No loss for USC. Good for him he is doing well at ASU, kinda surprising. I will take King Miller over Ralek all day long without thinking twice. Heck since Ralek left, C.LR replaced him with Xlent & tuff RB’s… Cheers

ParticipantBruddah, I like reading your talent evaluation posts on HS players. Maybe I need to watch more of Leek, but to my untrained eyes he lacks the fluidity of top RB’s when he is running with the ball. His pass protection seems lacking too but I will defer to you or anyone else that disagrees. Just my opinion. Good hands out of the backfield but you can’t be @ great RB f you can’t pass protect.

ParticipantThanxs Bruddah Ballss. I agree with you and Pasadena 100%, a RB must be able to block well. If a RB does not block well, he won’t play much. Dat’s what got Ralek in trouble at USC. Plus, he was terrible at running between the tackles; he always danced around, heading towards the sidelines. Whenever a RB turns sideways, a RB lose their power edge, easy to tackle. When the shoulders are squared, pointing to the EZ, going straight, no lean = max power. Ralek did not run like a good RB should.
Ralek had 2 Xlent RB’s to learn from, Sr. Travis Dye and Jr, Austin Jones who were A+ power RB’s. Wipe out, Ralek did not learn sheet from them and continued to run like he was in Pop Warner.
Ralek was a big name RB from the Stockton area, a Pop Warner legend. He tore it up as a Fr and Soph in HS. As a 5* RB, he transferred to Mater Dei as a Jr.. I thought wow, MD got one of the nation top RB’s.
Then, into the season and all season he hardly played, only maybe in the 4th qts. I knew that C. Rollo did not like something about his running style. C.Rollo was a very good RB in HS and at USC, he always had tuff RB’s at MD. Sure enough, C. Rollo in an interview was asked why Ralek does not play. He said, Ralek must learn how to block and run hard between the tackles. He still runs like he’s in Pop Warner. I laugh at his answer. But, the following season, Ralek’s Sr year, he learned how to block and run between the tackles He became 1st string. He worked hard during the off season. Ralek had a A+, Sr season, helping MD win a NC.
Then, he comes to USC as a Fr, and does not apply what C. Rollo taught him at MD. Wipe Out. Heck, he sure must have improved a lot under C. Dillingham. Although, when he got to ASU, he hardly played, just like his 1st yr at MD HS. But, like I said USC has not missed him. Congrats to Ralek for doing well at ASU… Cheers.

KeymasterDead on. Fair assessment. Sounds like the kid keeps going back to bad habits. I do. We all do. When I get too comfortable I just start bashing passers and grocery stick to pieces. Then I realize it’s a team game. The board is better when I rise above that and start running between the tackles. But alas old habits die hard. Ask Raleek
