LA DuckParticipantYes, it’s sort of a crazy role-reversal from years ago. Just saw where USC had not been involved in an ESPN Game Day broadcast in nine years!
Bottom line, if USC can beat Oregon at Autzen, you guys deserve to go to the playoffs this year.
If Oregon can’t beat a ranked team like USC at home, we quacks don’t deserve to go to the playoffs this year.
It’s really a very simple equation.
I personally don’t have any warm fuzzies that Oregon can stop Maiava, Lemon and Lane even in Eugene, especially with our own decimated WR room plus with Oregon’s really talented, but really young and relatively unchallenged, CBs. So I don’t share the confidence of others that Oregon will win this one.
If USC jumps out to more than a 7 point lead, I don’t see Oregon inching their way back on Saturday.
Regardless, should be a fun one! Hope some of you Trojans make it out to Eugene this weekend – you won’t want to miss it if you do end up with a W!
I wasn’t there, but friends who went to Happy Valley this season thoroughly enjoyed the experience winning in OT in a white out – wish I had gone!!

Keymaster42-17 Oregon. USC won’t be able to stop the run and the atmosphere will snowball. Then in typical UO fashion. After declaring themselves November national champions. They’ll go lose to Washington

LA DuckParticipantTotally see that happening….if my quacks win a close, hard-fought game vs USC, we’ll then be at Washington’s Super Bowl in Montlake the following Saturday.
Huskies will have all the motivation in the world to win and keep my quacks from a playoff berth.
But….first things first….still not feeling good about the game on Saturday at Autzen….

ParticipantTrue. Well the NCAA delivered the kill shot many wanted. USC and its fans have just gone Zombie mode and refuse to die…..
hoping for a good game. Last few against the ducks have not gone well against us Duck Hunters. Was at coliseum when game was over in 2nd quarter under Helton.
Oregons resume is not that great this year. Either is ours fwiw! Haven’t watched you guys at all so very uneducated here.

KeymasterGood lord you people. You all act like you’ve never built anything.
Trajectory for the D is upward. O is solid and will continue to be so. Talent level is headed int he right direction.
Does USC have the depth and talent of UO? Nope.
Coaching? It’s getting there, I would say USC has plenty of quality staff.
Is UO a tough place to play? Yes.
USC was 3-4 years behind UO at the beginning of this year. Maybe last. They’ve made up some ground. Not that UO has slipped. This recruiting class will make up more. And the more time existing roster has with this USC staff the more that edge dissipates too.
I think there’s not much more to do with the staff. Kids coming on campus don’t magically become superstars as freshmen. So I think they are another couple years from that gap being eliminated too. But I don’t think it’s awful or end of the world. Just need to continued this trend and in 26 or 27 you’ll have a couple top 5-10 programs with a pretty fair and reasonable matchup. USC just isn’t there yet.

ParticipantOregon wins, 38-30. Big home field advantage for Oregon. Both teams have players injured = even. Oregon crushed a good Minnesota team last week = (+). USC had to fight back 2nd half to pull out da W vs Iowa = (-). Dat Iowa game took mucho energy and players got bust up. It’s hard to play well after such a hard, fought, very physical game. I’m hoping da boys recovered well, come out from the start, play hard and not wait for the 2nd half. The boys must play hard all 4 Qts. to beat Oregon. This Oregon team does not have any weakness.
When USC and C. LR get into the RZ, they must score TD’s vs FG’s. Our LB’s and DB’s must play hard, smart all 4 qts for USC to pull out an upset… Cheers

LA DuckParticipantLol….good find….nobody loved Roboduck. For some reason you Trojans can get away with a real-life Man of Troy mascot and a cartoony version.
We quacks can’t and it’s probably for the best….we’ll stick with the looney-toons version.
Did you know that Mandrake made his first appearance at the USC-Oregon game at Autzen in 2002? A game we lost….

ParticipantI do know that. USC WRers went crazy that game. I have Oregon family who went to that game to cheer on the Trojans. We still laugh about duck Vader. Just too much 😂
