All week we heard about how disciplined Iowa was. How well coached they were-better than USC. And in the first half we heard how great the offensive and defensive lines were how this was a perfectly coached game by Iowa.
and in the end. Iowa got shut out in the second half. USC scored the last 19 points of the game.
and when it looked like Iowa was going to get the ball back one more time and have a last gasp attempt does everyone remember what happened? Yes an assistant coach on the Iowa sideline was penalized 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct. Giving USC a first down and allowing them to run out the clock and not even allowing Iowa to have the smallest of chances.
such a well coached team. So superior Iowa coaching. So “not soft”. I sure wish USC had a coach who committed penalties on the sideline at key moments of the game- not even giving the team a chance.
That’s got to be the first time I have seen that since Bo Schembechler and I think the 1990 Rose Bowl Bo slammed his headphones down on the field picked up a 15 yard penalty as USC was either driving for the winning touchdown or running out the clock I forget which . but Bo’s 15 yard penalty sealed the game just like the “better coached team“ according to idiots like San Clemente and fraud just handed the game over to USC today
