I’ll go with that.  Don’t know much about N other than the mahomes wannabe

really could use Jordan back.  USC might be calling me.  I have a few years left of eligibility

USC secondary needs to step up and the lines need to play better than they did two weeks ago v ND.   3rd road game in 4.  And they’re already 1-2

part of building  program is road wins against good opponents.  Neb is good. Not elite. But so was Illinois and that didn’t go well.  So this should be a great test.

is USC getting any OL or defensive guys back?

Paige is playing.  Good news. Banuelos out. Odd.  Oconnor in uniform but taking snaps w 3rd string.  Means as the center he didn’t get enough reps during the week

didn’t USC have some dbs hurt for much of the year?  I know prophet brown has been out all year and Dj harvey is out this week.  Who has been playing corner?    Nicholson and who?  Harvey?

is Alex graham back?  Will be curious to see the bodies who play.  Ramsey I think has been playing nickel.   Fitzgerald at free safety.

Omg the NBC pregame show they turned it over to gamblers?  The whole pre game show?  We wasted 25 minutes hearing about point spreads.  Over under.  And an analyst who looks like Chris Farleys van down by the river man.  And some chick.  And a 3rd nerd.

I hope they have professional announcers and we don’t get odds updates or parlays through the game

USC is 1-9 in their last 10 games where they’ve traveled 2 timezones or more. Riley didn’t change their travel schedule.

So far usc is getting dominated.

bad decision to take the ball.

3 and out.  Maiava can’t throw on the move.

stupid truck play on 3rd and 4.  Unneeded.  Let play some football before we show how smart we are

and on defense number 8 Devan Thompkins is watching a great game.  We should charge him for a ticket.  He must think his arms are powerful enough to tackle by themselves.  They aren’t.  Horrible tackling and inability to stop the run

and once again. Like Illinois.  USC finds itself on the road.  Chasing from behind and looking like a deer in the headlights.

better get it together soon. The road doesn’t forgive and Neb gets the ball in the second half and has a 7 point lead.  Didn’t take Long tk  screw that pooch

Broken record time.  Jakobi lane is soft.  Won’t fight for the ball and has alligator arms.

Thsts a lot on one guy but all this year he hasn’t seemed right and has not fought for the ball and secured it

Sooner this offense steers clear of forcing the ball to lane the better off they’ll be

you, run the ball all the way down the field through the Nebraska defense and then you throw it twice from the seven forcing a third pass from the seven. This makes no sense

Maiava can’t hit the broadside of a barn tonight.  He has missed short passes.  Throwing behind guys.  Can’t throw on the run.  By far his worst game so far

39 yards passing for Maiava in the first half confirms my supposition earlier

As well as they were running I have no idea  why they quit in the run

They need to get in the ball after getting a 3 and out to stay in this game

so frustrating to run the ball well in the first half to get a three and out and to open up the second half by trying to force the ball through the air and have your quarterback who’s playing his worst game throw an interception. I am so frustrated at that play calling

Hard to imagine this game being over 11 minutes left in the third quarter but if Nebraska goes up by 15 pointer, I don’t see USC coming back from this

oh wow. Just in time.  Strip sack.  That’ll do it.  Now run the dang ball

We gotta take this close, tuff road W (21-17), Big Shaka! Nebraska is a much improved team. Road games are hard.

Dang, QB Maiava played his worst game; something must have been bothering him in his passing mechanics (Off). 9/23, 39%, 135 yds, 0 TD, 1 IT, 80 QBR, D grade. But, he ran da ball well, 11 times = 62 yds, 1 TD, B+ grade.  Every athlete will experience a bad night, hell Maiava had one yesterday.  But, his Wr’s, TE did not help him.  They ran lazy routes + couple drops (bad sheet), D grade.  At least they blocked pretty good on run plays.

Bright spot was da run game = 214 yds, 2 TD’s, B+ grade.  Da man was RB King Miller, 18-129 yds, 1 TD, A grade.  As usual he ran hard, smart.  Oh, and the OL played well, B+ grade.  Total offense P 135 yds + R 214 yds = 349 yds, way under their # 1 rank of 520 yds per game, C grade.

The D over all played well, B grade.  Key thing the D allowed Nebraska only 17 pts, B+ grade, under their average of 23 pts allowed.  DB’s did a good job holding QB Riaola to 98 yds passing, B+ grade.  The front 7 had an average game, allowing 188 rushing yds, C grade.  The D allowed 286 T/yds, way under their 396 ypg.

Dam, Wr, Jakobi Lane did not play well.  He is way too inconsistent and unreliable.  At times, he makes unbelievable plays/catch.  Dam, Makai was off too.  I’m happy the team pulled out a road W.  Next up is Northwestern, we should win dat game.  But, next game is Iowa, Iowa is a very physical team our boys had better be ready and match their hard hitting FB…  Cheers

Yeah I think D might be generous for the qb and wr.  The OL was solid.  Where would USC be without king miller?   Screwed.   I think Nebraska had a national top 10 d. I was flipping channels so much I’m sure I missed some stuff   Thought I saw that.

I think the D was really good.  If you go on the road and hold a team to less than 100 yards passing.  That’s an A.  But Neb ran on USC too easily.  Even when usc knew it was coming. What was the 396 average?  How much the usc d had been giving up or the Nebraska offense average? 286 on the road is amazing.  Especially with all the hype raiola gets.   Knocking him out on that key sack was vital.  That backup had no chance and that’s on Rhule.  You have to have someone who can do more than that kid did.

Not sure what’s up with Lane.  All year he’s been hurt and when he’s played he’s been soft.  Drips balls. Won’t go after anything. He was a major stud 2024.  And 2023 such a promising freshman.  Amazing bowl game.  But the way he’s playing now that kid Hines has moved past him on the depth chart.  Lane isn’t going pro for sure. So they should have him.  Lyons Hines and hopefully one other guy like faster next year to really create some trouble for opponents
