    Wonder if BK will get a lump sum check or annual checks for the remaining balance? When, C. Helton left, he got annual checks by USC, adjusted by his pay at Georgia Southern.

    It’s not a lump sum Bruddah, they spread out the payoff over the remaining years of his contract and subtract earnings from a new job.

  Kelly, like Franklin, is a nice, low-budget option for UCLA, since neither guy has any financial incentive to demand a big salary for at least his first five years on the job. And they both coached at places (Vandy, Cincy) where they got used to looking at empty stands during home games.
