It’s pretty clear the defense is heading the right direction.   Go see state Penn.  Michigan.  Nd.  Shoot just about anyone to see how hard it is to play well on the road two or 3 time zones away

so.  Is USC a top 5 team?  No.  Did we think they were?  I didn’t.  So if they aren’t.  How do you expect then to win a top 5-10 game on the road in bad weather?    You don’t

so given that you take a look at where they are and realize progress just don’t instant launch into top tier.  Pretty rare.

riley took a lot of short cuts his first two years and I said so.  That whole fix it instantly with the portal thing was like eating sugar and having your teeth rot.

chad Bowden came this time last year.  December.  And it’s a slow build.  The first class doesn’t arrive until next fall.

if you look at their entire offensive line they started today. And take out read and put in O’Connor?   And let’s throw in Elijah page?  They return their top 6 guys next year.   And lyons.  And all wr.  And king and Jackson and lane and Hines.  Probably not lemon.

so they probably lose one guy off this offense. And I am guessing they will bring in some solid young talent to be the second string and eventually take over.  Thsts the kind of depth I’m talking about.  Maiava or Longstreet will return.    Lot returning.

I have not looked at the defensive side of the ball, but I’m going to guess that they are returning a lot and they are recruiting is really focused on that side of the ball so I am confident they’re bringing in quite a bit of talent     Takes awhile to hike a program but clearly they are better than they have been.  I told folks it’s going to take 3 years to be the program you want to be.
