I mentioned on old board that UCLA football comes back from the dead more then a black cat.

I also said Nico would be a program saver  and that he could play.

looks like I was off by a month. 😂

seriously tho. What a turnaround story for him and bruins.

was he that bad agaisnt unlv and New Mexico?? I didn’t watch a snap assuming it was on TV.

baby Weasel is getting all the love but Nico had 5 TDs against PSU. And 3/4 more last week.

nico is better than Maiva. In all facets IMO. JMs throwing motion is just so ugly even tho he has improved quite a bit on throwing accuracy. JM also runs a bit funny. No wiggle at all but he can get going north/south. Nico is a much smoother passer and runner. F he is talented.

I haven’t watched Indiana kid. Bama kid Ty Simpson is good.
haven’t watched Donte Moore play this year. Knew Drew Allar was overrated. Man that kid went from top 10 to the 7th round

Nico is playing himself into the first round again and a lot of it is other guys playing themselves out of it

I think when UCLA’s season went south Nico started running. Said screw it my season and $ are trashes I may as well
Take off. And he has. From what I have seen that’s made a huge difference

I’ve said all along that maiava was not a gifted athlete. And had a weird throwing motion that dropped his arm and turned him from 6’4 to 5’10. Gets a lot of passes batted down.

But Nico has to play for ucla and we’ve learned state Penn wasn’t that good and neither is moo u. So the rest of the season will be fascinating for them. We will see if they can add the October national championship to all their off season titles.

Maiava is perhaps Riley’s ultimate system qb prize. It’s why I speculated about him staying. Longstreet leaving. And getting lyons. I just don’t see him as a top level nfl qb by a long stretch. I hope I’m wrong. The one thing about him that Caleb didn’t do is he’s playing within the system. And that takes discipline and humility. The system is very good. Two tight end sets have changed the USC offense. They could probably afford the injuries to the rb more than if they were the te

Good point about running more. Hurts. Kap. Allen. Lamar. Makes a HUGE difference. Wish Sam ran more in the NFL. He wouldn’t lose a game lol.

The negative to that is the short career.  Sam would have missed a lot of time.  Those dudes hit hard and are big and fast

Coaching changes have done wonders for UCLA.  OC Sunseri was a good coach while at Indiana, he failed miserably at UCLA.  Unreal, how OC Jerry Neuheisel has transformed da O.  His play calling is very good.  Most of all the O players like playing for him.  Yeah, it’s a different Nico I; he’s playing well.  Da whole team is playing well.  A Big Shaka to UCLA…  Cheers

Pasadena, No Drew Allar, Penn St is not overrated. He has been playing with an injury (guts). Now, that injury got worst & finally ended his season. Drew Allar is a fine QB and will make the NFL.

The way Maiava is playing we got to be very satisfied. Yep Maiava lacks pure athlecticism, but he is Kool Hand Luke and an Xlent field general. I feel good with J. Maiava as our QB1… Cheers
